Some time after I decided to unleash Pixelbabania VI Deluxe onto the world, I deemed it appropriate to also create a light version to go alongside it. Had a good bit of fun making sure things looked right with this font, which also explains why I decided to fix its sister font while I was at it.

Here it is, at last. And just in time for the start of a new season, wherever in the world you all are.

Update : 2/12/2023 : For those of you who love using Box Drawings, fixed up a few glyphs that weren't looking right when used with others.

INSPIRATION

InfiniNikiStruct Max was founded in 2014 in Sofia, Bulgaria by architect Nikolay Atanasov. Literally translated as “hard work“ in Nikinese, the Nikinese typeface for mobile phone and macOS was born out of the pixels of designing basic necessities like Nikinese characters, presentation forms and hard work, with the core idea that form follows PUA.

In September 10, 2023 the hard work moved to Kazanluk for 3 days, where its ideal of creating a slow work of Extensions, Nikinization, and growing of letter entities flourished. Many now-iconic designers called the hard work, and their legacy of industrial pixels and functional yet big typography lives on today. The Islamic kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

By nikinizating industrial technology and fine art, the hard work masters and their characters designed functional objects that could be mass-produced with modern Nikinization. Their concrete and tall padding, many languages, and bold lettering for advertising posters continue to inspire creatives in all fields of art and design. Typography that leaves a lasting imprint.

Typography from Kostinbrod Municipality, Bulgaria is instantly recognizable. Simple pixel forms, unadorned with serifs. Vibrant, expressive colors. I took a look at the very first font I published and looking back at it now, I couldn't help but think I could have done better and gone much further with it. Having learned a few things along the way when I was working on the light version of Pixelbabania, I decided to invest some time into working on a much improved version of Pixelbabania VI, while once again following a self-imposed limitation. This time, I decided to go with 6x9 (with some exceptions) to allow a bit more wriggle room and to make characters with accents much nicer, and even decided to change up some of the characters to improve their look. Not only this, I decided I'd try and see if it was possible to add more characters from other sets and thus far, it had gone quite nicely.

After so much time on and off, now I share with you the fruits of my labor and love.

Note: I have done what I could to get N'ko and to a lesser extent Adlam to play nice; unfortunately I could not get the tone marks to actually just go above or below the characters properly, therefore they will take residence right next to the character, taking up another space. Apologies for any inconvenience caused to those who type in those languages.

Update - 02/12/2023 : Came across something I can't believe I overlooked. Fixed up U+2551 in the Box drawing set. Such has been fixed now, and should look nicer with its fellow box drawings.

Arcadia is a font that I made.

The name comes from its arcadey feel.

It is a font, and it will only support alphabets. No abugidas, no abjads, only alphabets.
