Design Rules:
1. Square bricks only.
2. A 1px soft border of negative space must exist between lines whenever possible.
3. Glyphs must fill the 9x9 grid to the greatest extent possible given the rounded style.
4. The set of glyphs shall be a heterogeneous mix of symmetrical and asymmetrical forms.
5. Negative space will replace positive in any situation wherein the small grid size or the geometry of a letterform would be detrimental to the chosen style. This includes all situations where any shape lacks at least a soft 1px border of negative space around it.

(Complete basic latin set). First iteration of a font meant to be used as a substitution cypher in a videogame set in a very far future. Letters are, with a few exceptions, inspired by their corresponding latin glyph. Numbers look a bit like cells dividing in a petri dish. Punctuation and symbols are designed for easy recognition.

With 12x12 pixels at size 6/8 font, the new brick filter options are on display in Zodiac Square. To ensure a square font, any accented glyphs from Mandrill (my monospaced, lanky, much-of-unicode font) that went above a capital A's peak were cut, but many lower-case accented glyphs stayed in. Since this is meant for a text-heavy game genre where legibility at small size is important, all of Latin Extended Additional was cut -- it was just too hard to read at small sizes, and I doubt it would be very useful in a roguelike or similar text-based game that needs square glyphs. This looks pretty good with anti-aliasing, but the preview may be funny because it uses the old 2x2 filter as well as the new horizontal stretch filter. It's called Zodiac Square because of the 12x12 pixels, 12 signs of the Zodiac.
This is a clone of MandrillEspaniranto is a transitional "lost link" conscript between Latin and the "future" Desertborn Language conscripts like "Wadi Emet" and "Seeq Antique" from the planet Araxes at the Mu Draconis System http://slurl.com/secondlife/Splintered%20Rock/55/4/55 (A Second Life Sci-Fi RPG sim/server cluster ). It covers most of the basic latin script(english), some extended glyphs to write Esperanto(ĉ, ĝ, ĥ, ĵ, ŝ, ŭ) and Spanish(ñ) but without accents and with basic limited extra glyph support besides the alphabet. In accordance with Desertborn scholar Taquis Samiirah Sorciere from House Morloch, Desertborn culture has it's roots mostly out from earth-that-was Berber culture, so maybe the Desertborn scripts evolved through millennia from a common branch of pidgin alphabets of hybridized Latin, Tifinagh scripts, Berber Latin, and unknown space-farer scripts resembling the one at the "Singapore Stone". Espaniranto is highly regarded as the possible common Latin script ancestor. The numerals are binary coded glyphs and naturaly suitable to be used in base-12(ø being number 10 and Ø being 11). Yet is highly compatible with the common base-10 numeral system in the Empire. Desertborn culture is highly regarded as possessing superior engineering and for their creative technological solutions in contrast to the common starborn ways. Some other odd influences notorious in Espaniranto are: -It's peculiar punctuation that somehow resemble the Himalayan conventions of Tibeto-burmese or mongolian scripts like phagspa, uchen/umê, and newa scripts. -It's "unicase" nature as in such scripts. A more solid link to the eurasian plateaus mysticism had been provided in the only especimen of Espaniranto writing being a XXIII'rd century treatise/manual on mysticism, the so called Lagrangian-Point Dzogchen-Zen-Sufi codex, a specimen with plenty of common mystic terminology between Persiand and Tibetan plateaus mysticism, but fully wrote in Classical Zamenhof's Esperanto. The lack of any ascender and descender in the Espaniranto script and it's awful readability supports the idea of it being mostly a religious script in opposition to daily use. This is a cloneRecreation of the monospaced version of the pixel font from Square/Nintendo's "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars" (1996) on the SNES.
This recreation uses the special TTF+SVG format, which currently has limited support. For a monochrome version, see this recreation.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

The thinking behind this one was that with incongruously sized segments arranged in the proper way, I would create a design which was effectively 5x5, but which accomodated more glyphs than 5x5 usually does. Negative space is incorporated into the structure of many glyphs, though not enough to classify this as an IVO design.
"Qualtron" is the name of an imaginary entity that a friend believed in - a being meant to represent the result of "a mathematical equation that can rule the universe". I didn't inquire further about it... :D
*
Design Rules:
1. Segments can have interior length/width of 2 or 5.
2. The central 2x2 square must always remain open.
3. Square bricks and 90-degree angles only.

I keep experimenting with crosses to make a 'Christian' font. This is my third or fourth attempt. The letters are nicely shaped but they don't seem bold enough. Make them bolder and they would have all sorts of interesting irregularities. I also might try serifs. I like the serifs on the 'I'.
A design that looks like a top-down view of ziggurats!
I composited the diacritics so they'd fit into place, but this means that most anything non-English needs to be pretty large to be unambiguously read...
This is an enhanced version of the retro font you see on old games. Still WIP. The squares are just placeholders and will be removed shortly. I hope to make this have more characters than any other fonts in the future (this might take a while). This font can be used in retro-style games, computer graphics, or anything else you can imagine. This font is pixelated, meaning it is lightweight and easy to port to many devices.
This is a clone of Ndless Default Font"Mythical Bursts" is an anagram of "Bismuth Crystal". The design is inspired by said crystals as well as Mayan/Aztec carvings (or at least, the comparatively simple forms they have in popular media) and sgraffito art in which a surface is scratched off to reveal a contrasting material underneath.
12SEP2018: I've edited every glyph in order to disconnect the letterforms from their enclosing shapes. This makes the font much more readable and consistent.

A square font for building ASCII maps for Roguelike games.
Changes from Sophistry Sans Modular by Scott Calo: All glyphs were centered on a letter width of 29 bricks, with Monospacing at 39.0; Created glyphs for @ ^ &; Stretched { and } vertically; Reduced the height of |; Narrowed W and w and removed cross at top; moved vertical slashes on # inward.

Use lower case to get Modern Gryzildan and UPPER CASE for Royal Gryzildan. Hold Shift while typing numerals/symbols to get the Royal ones.
These scripts do not canonically appear together on any in-universe writing. Gryzil writing is always written entirely in one script or the other. But, feel free to use this as you wish.
- DESCRIPTION -
This font contains two scripts of the Gryzil, Brer Brah's people, who are from various video games and stories of mine. Gryzil are a sapient bear-people that live on/near beaches in the continent of Skina on planet Fyromr. They have dull greenish fur, can speak, read, write and use tools, walk bipedally, and have beer fermentation chambers for stomachs. They appear in ESOS, Trap Farmer Brer Brah, and Anime Girls vs. The Cavemen.
The written language of these creatures is designed to be without subtlety. Most of the subtlety of Gryzil communication is gestural. For instance, quotations do not exist in Gryzil writing. There can be a record that someone said something, but only when a Gryzil who heard it firsthand speaks of it is there understood to be a quotation - the rest is simply hearsay.
This font is made as an attempt to anglicize the Gryzildan language - not to write it natively. Hence, it has some resemblance to Latin. But in fact these symbols all represent different gestures as well as different rasping, stamping, growling, and ingressive sounds which are unknown within Earth humans' formalized language studies. Nonetheless, you can write authentic Gryzildan with this. Read the Chalcedony-Bound Manual found in any of the games in which Gryzildan is used.
