JS-SANS BEVEL (OUTLINE) — Geometric Sans-Serif

Another font addition to the ever evolving and growing collection of revivals and inspired works called LETTERS OP MAAT, a project celebrating and trying to recreate the typographic contributions originally designed by Dutch graphic designer Jurriaan Schrofer.
This time I did a revival based on a sans-serif lettering concept Schrofer did in the late 1960s during his time with Mouton & Co..
The alphabet system was later featured on several book cover prints such as: "Marx and contemporary scientific thought" from 1970, "Images of the world in the year 2001" from 1976, "Repro en Druk"(Weekblad van het Koninklijk Verbond van Grafische Ondernemingen) from 1981, and several more.
I decided to create a typeface family with two styles, SOLID & OUTLINE.
In addition to that I included an uppercase letterset, symbols and punctuation marks as well..

Style variation for the BOXCUTTER typeface!

BOXCUTTER is a squarish and heavy-weight display typeface that is straight in your face. Beveled to make the fella slightly less agressive.
It's pixel optimized as well and it comes in uppercase and small uppercase characters only!

Another recap in a series to attempt to re-create some of the works from late great dutch graphic designer "Jurriaan Schrofer" (15 april 1926 – 1 juli 1990).
This time I revisited the lettering for "A.S.C. COMMUNICATIONS" and completed the alphabet and some additional punctuations.

The basis for the Bevel font. Give this a medium-color. Use together with Bevel North, Bevel East and/or Bevel South to give depth to font. Superimpose these fonts over each other. Please, refer to website to download the set of 4 fonts. http://www.ideogram.nl/content/bevelled-fonts Here, I've done some adjustments to the spacing that were not possible in Font-struct.

a typeface centred around the key theme/word 'shadow'. I started looking at how the time of day effected the shape and the size of the subsequent shadow cast. However, I then moved onto the ideas of bevels and a more subtle shadow effect created by raised centres of the letterforms. The 'impossible triangle' effect came from a idea that was brought up in a critique about 'extending it and making it really elaborate'. The name is chosen because I think that typefaces should have friendly names.
