Prévenir is based on repair prevention techniques in our devices - how proprietary screws are locking us out of being able to look inside and fix our things- creatinga physical seal. The idea of the typeface is to take a bitmap font, where the building blocks are easily visible and understandable, made pixel by pixel, and then add a 'seal' by making all the edges curved, obscuring the font making process.
The name 'Prévenir', french for prevention is a play on 'Avenir' a font used by Apple - a company widely known for their repair prevention strategies.
Just a variation of an existing design. Spacing values were changed to break the chains, and "space" & "no-break space" were made blank. This is a clone of Might Chain
From the vault of unpublished doodles, a permutation of earlier ideas.
A design that looks like a gallery of paintings or postage stamps. Made with glyphs from my 5x5 designs - the pixel ones as well as the high-res ones!
There are very few sizes/ratios which make every glyph look pristine. This lets the user incorporate its own presentation into things! I think this looks best at 2x-4x Pixel size.
I'll make more glyphs once I have more unique designs to sample glyphs from! Perhaps some glyphs can be based on letterforms which I liked but didn't develop into full fonts...
Can you identify every font represented here? If so, good for you! I can't. :D
"Mythical Bursts" is an anagram of "Bismuth Crystal". The design is inspired by said crystals as well as Mayan/Aztec carvings (or at least, the comparatively simple forms they have in popular media) and sgraffito art in which a surface is scratched off to reveal a contrasting material underneath.
12SEP2018: I've edited every glyph in order to disconnect the letterforms from their enclosing shapes. This makes the font much more readable and consistent.
Original size: 42pt (use multiples of this value for pixel perfection)
