Designed as part of my university course, this font is based around the word 'squishy', taking inspiration from body forms, shapes and the creases which are created from these body types. The emphasis is not so much around the shape itself, but the negative space between them. A condensed bitmap, tight, grid structure typeface. A block structure that uses a scale of unit measurement to acquire its form. Works well with color and negative space. Influenced loosely off of one of the first digital typefaces, Digi-Grotesk.

Using just a 4x3 grid for most CAPS means the curves you see are curves. Slight calligraphy feel to wedges and curves on many letters. A black weight font with short descenders enable it to work with little leading, if necessary. Regimented but with curves and wedges!

A pixel-friendly semi-condensed slab serif fontstruction. Deceptively simple in appearance, variable stroke thickness is achieved through advanced filters and a one-brick stroke thickness for vertical strokes. I kept the spacing tight (and at an integer value) so it works decently well as a pixel font down to 8 pt (at 72 ppi this gives an x-height of four pixels and a breezily condensed form). Some funky spacing issues remain without kerning pairs. Kern as desired and remember to have some fun with it!
