Recreation of the pixel font used in Interplay's classic "Star Trek: 25th Anniversary" (1992) adventure game on the PC. It's mostly monospaced, with the exception of the unusual &, © and ® used on the splash screen and the ß from the German version. Also included are the original (fairly ugly, admittedly) extended characters from the German and French version.
incomplete pixel font set, based on bullfrog's amiga real time strategy title syndicate (1993). designed to be used aliased at a size of 5px (or multiples thereof). includes alternative uppercase/lowercase characters. originally posted at http://www.splintered.co.uk/experiments/62/
a custom variant of the pixel font used in konami's "batman returns" (1993) on the SNES, modified from monospaced to proportional while trying to maintain the quirky ligatures built into the monospaced original. this version expands (and tweaks) the punctuation characters present in the actual game's tile set.
This is a clone of Batman Returns SNESrecreation of the monospaced pixel font used for the start menu and options screen in konami's "batman returns" (1993) for the SNES. this version expands (and tweaks) the punctuation characters present in the actual game's tile set.
A thin proportional font, based on the title sequence of the Bitmap Brothers' "Chaos Engine" (1993).
Designed to be used aliased at a size of 9px (or multiples thereof).
Originally created in 2004 based on the Amiga version, and extended in 2012. Repackaged in 2022, with a small tweak to the exclamation, question, and quote marks, and the addition of the ampersand from the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and SNES versions.
Last (hopefully) final tweaks now 27/08/2022, fixing the "G", "V", "X", "1", "9", adding a copyright symbol, and tweaking the spacing and vertical position of some of the punctuation marks, referencing the SNES version some more.
Incomplete pixel font set, based on the shop sequence of the Bitmap Brothers' Amiga shooter "Xenon 2: Megablast" (1989). Designed to be used aliased at a size of 5px (or multiples thereof). Originally posted at http://www.splintered.co.uk/experiments/61/
Recreation of the pixel font from Codemasters' "Rockstar Ate My Hamster" (1988). Slightly expanded with a few additional custom characters not present in the original game.
Edited (11/2016) to fix some of the characters, based on a more accurate source (C64 emulation of the game) and to include the "BLACK LARGE SQUARE" (U+2B1B) unicode character.
Recreation of the primary pixel font (used for the title screen and highscores) from Rainbow Arts/Factor 5's "Turrican" (1990) and "Turrican II" (1991) on the Amiga. Note the special characters mapped to "lightning" (U+2607), "skull and crossbones" (U+2620) and "black heart suit" (U+2665).
The same font - with a reduced number of special characters - was also used in "Mega Turrican" (1993) on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, and the first "Super Turrican" (1993) on the SNES.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the pixel font from Imagineering/Arc Developments' "The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants" (1991) on 16bit systems (Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Amiga, Atari, MS-DOS).
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

This recreation uses the special TTF+SVG format, which currently has limited support. For a monochrome version, see this recreation.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
This is a clone of Turrican / Turrican IIRecreation of the pixel font from Headgames/Sega's "X-Men 2: Clone Wars" (1995) on the Sega Mega Drive.
In the game, the characters use two separate shades of the same color to give a subtle antialiasing/slimming effect. In this recreation, this antialiasing has been removed, and the characters are all one solid color.
Also note that this is not a true monospace font due to the copyright symbol, which is double wide.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the 6px pixel font used in Nintendo's "Super Mario Kart" (1992) on the SNES. In the game, the font has a 2px spacing to account for the outline. In this recreation, I opted to just go for a 1px spacing - if you do use it outlined, make sure to add the extra pixel for authenticity.
Update Sept. 2019: added ":" and "," and fixed incorrect "Q", "V", "(" and ")"
Recreation of the pixel font from Bits Studio/Flying Edge's "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" (1991) on the Sega Mega Drive. In game, the font uses a subtle form of antialiasing on the top-left-most pixel, which has been omitted from this recreation. Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
