A different variety of the QUADblock typeface, now with Japanese Hiragana and Katakana characters. For most of the characters, hold the shift bar for the Katakana.

Based on Arcadepix by Reekee of Dimenzioned, this version has extra characters, including Hiragana and Katakana. However, some of the characters are different than in the original. Special thanks to Solink on TSR for a number of the characters.
Update: Added Cyrillic characters.

Recreation of the pixel font from Konami's "Contra" (aka "Gryzor" and "Probotector", 1987) on the Nintendo Famicom.
Compared to the regular NES version, the Famicom not only had improved graphics, but also a whole story trailer and cut-scene screens between each mission...and for these, the ROM included extra punctuation and an almost complete set of katakana characters, which I've included here as well (mapped to their corresponding unicode points).
In the game, some of the more complex katakana characters were built by combining two separate characters (for instance, the letter Hu followed by a "double bar" character to form the letter Bu); however, for this recreation I actually created single characters for these compounds and mapped them to the correct katakana code point - but as a result, these characters have double the width of the other letters (16px rather than 8px).
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Features an almost complete set of hiragana and katakana (212 characters altogether) - though note that the dakuten and handakuten have been included as separate characters (U+3099 and U+309A), rather than having characters containing them as separate glyphs. Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Designed to automatically adapt an English keyboard into Japanese characters.
Clone of Katakana カタカナ by fontstructor "williamsharkey". He left his work unfinished, and I took it upon myself to finish it.
How it works is relatively simple. To make, for example, the Japanese letter "ku" type "k" and then "u". The "k" will bring up the k column. Next the "u" button brings up the appropriate mask for the desired letter.
To make a,i,u,e, or o alone, just capitalize it. ex: "haiku" would be typed "haIku" for it is made of three letters. ha-I-ku.This is a clone of Katakana カタカナ

This is an English alphabet which replaces the Roman letters with ones resembling Japanese Katakana. Unlike the Kana, this is not a syllabary, it's purely English in a new skin.
I made this because I'm left-handed and it's more convenient to write vertically rather than from left to right, but I needed letters that were perfectly square, because the Roman letters (specifically in lowercase) were not conducive to vertical writing.
In this script, a circle/square in the top-left corner of the letter denotes that it is a Capital letter. The ones in the top-right have no particular meaning, they're just there to help some of the letters stand out from each-other visually.
This is the first font I've ever made. I plan to make more fonts of this alphabet in the future. Constructive criticism is welcomed.
