Recreation of the pixel font from Codemasters' "Rockstar Ate My Hamster" (1988). Slightly expanded with a few additional custom characters not present in the original game.
Edited (11/2016) to fix some of the characters, based on a more accurate source (C64 emulation of the game) and to include the "BLACK LARGE SQUARE" (U+2B1B) unicode character.
A thin proportional font, based on the title sequence of the Bitmap Brothers' "Chaos Engine" (1993).
Designed to be used aliased at a size of 9px (or multiples thereof).
Originally created in 2004 based on the Amiga version, and extended in 2012. Repackaged in 2022, with a small tweak to the exclamation, question, and quote marks, and the addition of the ampersand from the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and SNES versions.
Last (hopefully) final tweaks now 27/08/2022, fixing the "G", "V", "X", "1", "9", adding a copyright symbol, and tweaking the spacing and vertical position of some of the punctuation marks, referencing the SNES version some more.

Nintendo's "Super Mario World" (1990) on the SNES contains a maddening 5 pixel fonts. This is the recreation of the 7px tall font used for the game's message boxes and level names on the world map. UPDATE: in the game, the font has a 2px spacing to account for the outline. in this recreation, i opted to just go for a 1px spacing - if you do use it outlined, make sure to add the extra pixel for authenticity.

Nintendo's "Super Mario World" (1990) on the SNES contains a maddening 5 pixel fonts. This is the recreation of the two small, 6px tall variants used for the game menus, end-of-stage stats, and the end credits. These have been spread out across the upper- and lowercase. Note the reduced-size 5px tall numerals, and the copyright symbol used on the title screen. Recreation of the pixel font from Bits Studio/Flying Edge's "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" (1991) on the Sega Mega Drive. In game, the font uses a subtle form of antialiasing on the top-left-most pixel, which has been omitted from this recreation. Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the pixel font used in Interplay's classic "Star Trek: 25th Anniversary" (1992) adventure game on the PC. It's mostly monospaced, with the exception of the unusual &, © and ® used on the splash screen and the ß from the German version. Also included are the original (fairly ugly, admittedly) extended characters from the German and French version.

Recreation of the pixel font from Megasoft/Sega's "Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master" (aka "The Super Shinobi II", 1993) on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.
Note that, for visual consistency, the ";" character has been shifted one pixel lower. The game uses two different single quote characters, but only the most distinctive has been used.
For completeness, a custom ">" character has been added. Otherwise, only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
