This font is based off of the word 'Systematic'. I began by looking at things that have a systematic way of working, this included: the nervous system, solar system and computer systems. Whilst the computer system route was one I wanted to pursue, I found that the initial sketches were lacking. So I moved to solar systems, through quick sketches and research I found solar system models and decided to base my font around those. The circles and lines add an aesthetic element. This font is more decorative font.

Font inspired by a mixture of the sharp lines used in ancient calligraphy, and cuts in sheets of metal. I used these influences and involved elements such as the rivits used in metal sheets. In this edit I cut up the bricks creating more spacing between them , It gives the font a sharper and more mechanical/construction feelThis is a clone of Knife Edge

I looked into the definition of introverted as a word, which simply breaks down as ‘to turn into one’s self’ so leading off of this I went about recording and observing objects that I felt had this characteristic in common. The most successful and clearest representation of this I felt was blinds, as they turn into themselves and also act as deliberate screen mechanism. This then became the foundation of my type design, mimicking the lines of the blinds within my typeface. I also wanted to play with the idea of reducing the letterform as much as possible without losing legibility,
as I felt that this helped to further portray introverts because it is as if the letters are becoming hidden with the background.

As a first year graphic design student at the University of West England, the first project brief was to make a typeface based on a theme of our choosing. This font-struction was inspired from the word and theme continuous. Space is continuous, its never ending. I’ve tried to use space in my type face and wanted to produce something that was readable even though not the whole letter is there. Circles are also continuous but I struggled with making perfect curves so settled with quite a pixilated look.

When I first heard the theme of ‘Continuous’ I thought of pieces of string or pipelines. I was going to incorporate this element of solid continuity into my font. However I decided to express continuity through negativity. I highlight areas of letters that are not usually focused on as the main criteria. I paid attention to the corners, as they have proven vital in forming legibility. In a way, I was experimenting with what is the absolute minimum required to provide legibility.

After 2 months, I've forward-processed the Latin alphabet, by applying similar changes that led from mine to the modern, to itself again, continuing the development had modern technology not connected the world. Though some letters are exactly the same, and some are only slightly modified, they are all closer (if they're not there yet) to the easiest writing method, less complex lines, and less lines.

My attempt to cross three of my passions: pixel art, shoot'em up games and typography.
What started as a full original design also became a homage to classic games with 103 characters.
Upper and lowercase are layers (see display below) and other characters are different kinds of game sprites.
Best used with no anti-alias at 60pt size.

Ok, so I made this sci-fi font but I could use your guys' help on deciding some certain letter styles. I have two H's and three K's I want to pick from. Any opinions or new ideas?

Unfinished Galactic KND font. Use SHIFT for letters 't' and 'p' to connect them to other letters. Might make numbers at a later time. Credit to the web devs at rainbowmonkeys.com
