Welp, I had to make something like this sooner or later... :^)
Like most of my pixel fonts, this was made at the smallest legible size I could manage, so that it could be useful even to small-canvas pixel artists.
More glyphs later, perhaps? Depends on the use I find for this in my games (and your comments).
Original size = 26px (Use multiples of 19.5pt for pixel perfection)
The name is inspired by Slab City, California. Search that name on Youtube for some interesting documentaries and such!
In this typeface, I have explored the idea of order and systematic design in an urban surrounding. Following the natural lines from the cement of a regular brick wall I have used the repetitive pattern and method to mark the outline to my type face. This font is primarily created for using in titles and headings rather than in a body of text as it is more impacting as well as visually striking and eye catching.
This font relates to my original theme, ‘Messy’, which was developed based on the Brazilian slums, Favelas. In Western culture, these are viewed as ‘messy’, however in Brazilian culture they take great pride in their homes. This reflects the idea that people respond to the same theme in different ways depending on their cultural context. This font is designed to be used at large display sizes of 100pt or more as this means that the detail in each character can be clearly seen.
Made a rough 'A' glyph first as a test for the Reverse Competition but I had no time to get back to it before the deadline. I finished it anyway to see how the final outcome would be.
This typeface was designed with the adjective 'Massive' in mind. I then chose to focus on trees, particulary the tree bark, to see how it is structured. I collected bits of bark from trees to see how bark can vary in its texture, such as, the 3D features and the visible cracks. This typeface could be used as a large title in posters, banners or headings for leaflets, possibly for environmental awareness campaigns.
This is a cloneThis font was inspired by stac typeface © Goh Yam Hwee, from StRANGE DESIGN, located in Singapore. The original character set have only 36 glyphs, but I've remaked the rest that you can see in this font, all from a different point of view, you see (they are 123 just now, and counting...).
This font was made for street food vendor which we call PKL. My team got tahu campur which means mixed tofu. Inspired by the tofu, I made the font literally square like a tofu (lol). Tahu campur has bold taste which result in also a bold font. Shadow made by request. Hope you like the font! Please leave some comments for a better changes so we all can improve. Thanks~
This is a clone of Like a TofuInspired by a technique used by 12Me21 in 3D Shading.
