This is from SEGA's Up 'n' Down, this was also used in early Sega System 1's game, with different variations of the letters. This font actually debuted in a 1982 game from Sega called "Subroc-3D", and also appeared in "Buck Rogers - Planet of Zoom", "Star Jacker" and "Regulus".
This font was inspired by the works of Christophe Szpajdel (Lord of the Logos, 2010, Die Gestalten Verlag), as well as by the film trilogy and the following game titles (e.g. Middle-earth: Shadows of Mordor, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, 2014) based on Tolkien's epic masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings. Given the game theme, and the 48 bricks vertical limit, I thought more or less around pixel art, or pixel fonts. This is my endeavour to make a spiky blackletter in Szpajdel's black metal style that evokes the terror of Mordor at pixel level. This font has been extensively tested for best kerning, yet some issues might have remained unresolved.
This is a cloneA fairly obscure video game font for you, this being the serifed font from thte 'Puyo Puyo' series of video games (if that name sounds unfamiliar, these games were reskinned in North American and released as 'Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine' and 'Kirby's Avalanche'.)
The base alphabet, numbers, and several punctuation are all authentic to the game (the inverted ? and ! are always easy to make, which is why I always include them, even if not a part of the game proper). However, there's plenty of custom glyph work here with the punctuation and the accented lettering.
Enjoy!
A recreation of the font used in Midway's 'Arch Rivals', an arcade game originally released in 1989. It's actually the font taken from Miway's own 'Rampage' (1986), but expanded upon with a complete set of lowercase letters and additional punctuation.
This is a clone of RampageTaken from the story screens from Capcom's 1989 arcade brawler Final Fight. (Interestingly, this font can also be found in the tile set from the Street Fighter 2 arcade game). Accented letters are completely custom.
This is a pixelated font containing the Latin alphabet, including many letters with diacritics and more obscure yet common Latin letters, roman numerals, punctuation, the Cyrillic alphabet, the Greek alphabet, the Hebrew alphabet, Japanese Katakana, Japanese Hiragana and the Georgian alphabet.
