This should have been a minimum font, but minimum can't do color.
The idea was to simulate transparency. After trying out multiple color hatch patterns, it was apparent that it is not going to work. The earlier attempts are left in the font for you to judge yourself their efficacy.
The file is pretty heavy because of having so many anchor points (times 8 layers). Scrolling will be slow. Because the next letter overlapping the previous hides part of the black outline, just outline glyphs are there to stack two layers (colored below, outline above) to get the correct effect.
Is there some trick to make the downloaded font to work in color? The version I downloaded comes as *-svg.ttf. Aren't the color svg fonts in .otf format? Thus, no sample.
This san serif, textured, pattern, bold font is inspired by traditional Welsh weaved blankets. I was fascinated by the incredible pattern created by the traditional practice of blanket weaving. To create the structure of these characters I worked from researching weaving and knitting patterns and scanned it into the computer to embed the pattern into letters.
A letter decorated with a tilting dot pattern.
It's inspired by lettering seen on a brochure for Dutch theatre group "Sater" which was designed by "Jurriaan Schrofer".
I couldn't get it much more accurate that this, neither do I think it was wise desicion to make the main design isometric. Since now I'm tied to this projection. I might do a straight aligned version in the future.
Anyway, I think it is still a cool looking type

I add new art to this whenever I get more ideas. But I don't want the legend to be any longer than it is, so I leave the others for you to discover on your own.
Framed, perfect symmetry, seamless tiling, no composites, no filters, no MSG.
This was made in the style of a reticle or selection field, but it is capable of much more. It can create the appearance of a cargo net, electric grid, or caution-taped area. It's high impact and captures attention quickly, much like an electric caution cargo net.
Use with 0 line spacing for the best effect!
Based on the decorative identity squares that FontStruct members get when they join. My design is based on the elaborate squares of Lady Quadretti. I just had to replace the decorative bricks with the plain square which showed how much Quadretta relies on the variety of bricks to be interesting and different.
This is a clone of Lady QuadrettaFuture Retro is a geometric typeface that has an implied roundness. The shape and contrast within each letter invokes a retro and a futuristic feeling at the same time. Future Retro is a sans serif display typeface with clear readability. Future Retro is great for large scale type in posters, signage, merchandise, headlines, titles, etc.
149 custom bricks for your perusal! Only custom bricks are in the palette, so you can clone this and easily start drawing right away.
I'll definitely be adding more with time. I love this sort of experimentation!

Brick Basket in a format that's more useable for graphic artists. While the original was made for building new font designs, this one is made to be useful as a font in its own right.
I will update this one, along with the original, any time I have new ideas. Both designs have bricks that are unique to them, as well. This is due to glitches I encountered while cloning as well as the fact that BBRev2's designs are specifically for graphic art. BBRev2 also contains a few stock FS bricks just to expand the range of textures it can create.
This is a clone of Brick BasketCloned from Vertalics originally, but not one single block remains.
This is a free font version from my commercial font family, Lephnia, which includes Lephnia Drop Caps.
Outlined novelty sans font in a black weight with a repeating pattern, or texture, which is a mesh grid. This font demands to be seen in large (poster/billboard/titling/header/headline) sizes.
This font is Copyright 2018 & 2019 Doug Peters ( https://www.Doug-Peters.com/ or https://Dougs.Work/ ) and released as demo freeware under the SIL Open Font License. You are entitled to use this font however you want. Credit for my original work IS greatly appreciated. There is a version with lowercase and more glyphs I'll offer to donators.

This a typeface designed to echo the shapes and patterns found across manholes which cover our network of systems across the UK. Manhole covers have been beautifully decorated with patterns but also act as indicators and safety features. Both patterns and the shaping of letterforms are inspired by manhole covers I have found. Designed to be a display typeface at large scales!
A piece of constructivism inspired by Dutch artistic movement "De Stijl".
This is a clone of STF_FABRICON_(OUTLINE)Modernism alphabet
This is a clone of STF_HETERODYNE_(SOLID)A doodle made with Brick Basket.
These glyphs are made to look like trellises, wall screens or stained glass windows. But I think they can pull off many other looks as well.
Looks best at massive sizes! Good for logos, title cards, etc.
Some puzzling boxes, indeed! These are named for Lemarchand, maker of the puzzle box which appeared in the movie series "Hellraiser".
This design has a variety of textures and optical illusions up its sleeve. See the sample for a few of them.
Original size: 47pt (use multiples of this value for pixel perfection)
Another experimental font for texturing work. This one uses only an 8x8 grid, but since it isn't pixel art, a much greater variety of patterns is possible. Every glyph in the font repeats as a seamless texture in both directions.

A project I've been working on for some time that combines a readable writing system with a means of creating decorative streams of symbols, allowing for practical or artistic use. It is designed to be writable in the same way as English, with a couple key differences:
end of sentence within a thought:
. = SPACEBARx2
? = ?SPACEBAR
! = !SPACEBAR
end of thought:
. =SPACEBAR-
? = ?-
! = !-
end of paragraph:
. = .
? = ?-
! = !-
numbers:
numbers at the beginning of a sentence = ###-SPACEBARtext
numbers at end of sentence = textSPACEBAR-###SPACEBAR-
Use as applicable to avoid numbers and letters bleeding into each other.
For purely artistic streams of writing, Start every sentence with a capital, skip spaces, and use '-' as a period. This allows for a smooth bar of symbols without any random bits jutting out that can be used for framing or backgrounds.
