Are you making a game where you have a leaderboard? Need a cool, extensive font that bases leaderboards from the early 80s? Well, you're in luck! This font was designed for text of those high scores on a leaderboard from the 80s! There are a LOT OF CHARACTERS that fit into this font! Enjoy!

This is my first fontstruction for a typeface project at UWE. I chose to make a font under the theme “repetition” and wanted to create a simple, pixel art styled typeface with certain continuous elements in it to make my theme clear for the viewer. 1Lifer is a display font inspired of gaming culture, especially the 80s' classic arcade games, such as Tetris, early Super Mario Bros. and Space Invaders. I found the tiled shapes used in these games as a helpful resource to creating my own font – 1Lifer is also made from simple, pixel based forms. I was also inspired by the gaming arcades' bright, blinking lights. The name of the font stems from terms in relation to gaming and is a playful merge between the two expressions "1 up" and "no lifer."

Another 2x filter experiment, paired with heavy usage of the Macaroni bricks. Based on the original logo for the Sony Walkman Cassette Tape Players from the 1980s. Type "Walkman" in the User Input to see!

This is my interpretation of the font from the 80's Anime Robotech. Some liberties have been taken as it is hard to find a complete Library of Characters

A new 9x9 font that looks like it could have been used in an early '80s video game. See "Generic Video Game Font 02" for an inverted version.

6507 is named after the microprocessor in the Atari 2600 VCS (Video Computer System). The characters were copied from the Atari cartridge "Basic Programming" and improvised where not available from the original.

My first foray into FontStruct, there. It's a basic serif font, mainly based on rounded rectangles. For some reason it feels almost Russian to me, hence the name.
I originally had planned this to be italicised by default but designing some of the characters were too difficult. Maybe I'll go back after I design a few more and extend it. A hollow version shouldn't be too difficult, I reckon.

Font used in Motorola MC6847 Video Display Generator. This chip was used in TRS Color Computer ("CoCo") and other 8-bit computers in the 80's. Original font contained only 64 ASCII characters but here it is extended with almost all Unicode Latin glyphs. This is a clone of Ensjo MC6847
