Inspired by the combination of digital code, alien inscription and bold Greek and Russian typography; this font was created with "confident" being the main theme.
The visual features of confidence have been a focal point in the production of this font. Generally, confidence is associated with being bold and comfortable with ones self. But since a font is far from being human, I wanted to specifically focus on the combination of poise and shape.
"One Small Step For Man" is my futuristic font based on the theme of ambition. I wanted to create a simplistic and wide font that is longer in width than height in order to replicate the long steps taken by Neil Armstrong when he was the first man to walk on the moon. This was an iconic moment in history and a key representation of ambition and the ideology that we can do anything if we believe.
Argh, this was horrible to make .. well, getting it slightly balanced was a nightmare. The missing segments of the glyphs constantly caused my brain to correct what I was looking at by means of general logic and my knowledge about the way in which letter spacing usually works. This effect was worst with the letters T, U, Y. And I am convinced that it still contains the necessary disproportionate irregularities with regard to the metrics. I tried kerning it as best as I could. It has only uppercase letters, no numerals and very limited punctuations. I am not sure if I will ever complete this.
enjoy!

This project has changed my view of type by being patient and to really think about how the typeface will be protrayed in a product. My typeface reminds me of an "old-school" videogame. I had alot of fun with this project because I got familier with the tools in this program very quickly. I hope you enjoy my font, Funky Pixels!
I asked CookieLord and Zephram about how to name this style of font.
And the tags are the answers they gave me.
Thanks! :)
This is a clone of Heavy VintageMARTIAN AMBASSADOR - a quirky alien looking typeface.
What first started as a tryout to make entire glyphs within a single composite brick quickly got out of hand. lol
Each glyph was designed on a 2x2 grid by way of composite stacking. Lowercase and superscript characters are single brick composites.
Viewed in the fontstruct preview many glyphs do not show clean edges because I heavily made use of composite bricks and stacks on a small grid. However, these irregularities are not really present in the actual TrueType Font.

This is a clone of STF_HETERODYNE_(OUTLINED)Another tribute to the great Dutch graphical designer/pioneer "Jurriaan Schrofer".
This time I didn't do a straight foreward recap of a specific work from the great man, but rather had myself inspired by a number of his sketches and combined those ideas all into this type! (Nonetheless ofcourse still heavily inspired by..)
Here are a few of the original works I drawn inspiration from:
"A.S.C. COMMUNICATIONS, SEMINOTICS, SIGNAGE SYSTEM PTT 1975 (Dutch Post Office) , BEURS VAN BERLAGE, UNREADABLE ALPHABET"

Recap of the lettering from Dutch hardware store-chain "GAMMA".
I have absolutely zero clue on who originally designed it.
(If someone here knows more about the origins please let me know, thanks)
Nonetheless it's a pretty cool futuristic looking design as well as a tribute to its predecessors that set the tone for the genre at the start of the last century.
As usual the alphabet is completed and some punctuations is added.
