Cryptographic Font utilizing a proprietary binary matrix algorithm designed by Joshua Michael Conci © 2017
This font and the symbols therein are direct results of the binary code for the letters, numbers, and special characters acting as seeds for a matrix code.
Every character is unique even if they "appear" similar. The top and bottom horizontal lines indicate the binary code for the associated letter. Black squares are 1 and spaces are 0.
This font is designed for 8x8 led matrix display (max7219) with as small chars as possible (3x5 points). My idea was create small font for my weather station integrated in my Home Assistant as Esp Home based project, because default font is too beefy and cover whole display with few chars.

Now you may 'fontstruct' my 25TH VERSION…
(the "MARS:BENZ" test showcases this one).
***
The expected final & plain VECTOR DESIGNS
could simply begin with rotating squares…
Even in this early and geometric step #0,
all the 33 segment areas would be similar.
33?!
1 BIT too many… try removing S00 yourself
(or merge by adding a 'separating value').
Use the glyph SPACING as usual in x and y
(even by kerning the variable width font).
I started drawing many V1 GLYPHS on April
(+ several ANIMATIONS for matrix testing).
The inherited 7-SEGMENT matrix is a LIMIT
(e.g. no added border for the diacritics).

The RomByte font when displayed on a matrix display in real life.
Comes with the feature that when you look far away / when the font is small, you don't notice the small gaps. However, when you up look closely, you can spot the tiny gaps between the pixels.
Can be used as a grey-colored version of RomByte if displayed correctly.
This is a clone of RomByteThe original font from the dynamic highway signposts / variable-message signs (dWiSta) in Hesse, Germany!
Many non-alphanumeric characters which aren't used on the signs, are replaced with icons used on the signs, e.g.:
§ (paragraph) = Autobahn A3
% (percent) = Autobahn A5
$ (dollar) = Autobahn A67
| (vertical bar) = traffic jam
@ (at-sign) = construction
= (equal sign) = airport
# (hashtag) = stadium
etc. etc.
Inspired mainly by matrix screens on buses around the UK, especially iBus in London.
