A half-assed font drawn by hand on a trackpad, allowing at most one re-do if the results were completely unusable, otherwise going with it. Not a serious font by any means. But could serve a purpose, such as low resolution digital graffiti.

So here it is...Green Eyed Girl. This project at UWE Bristol was to create a typefacd based around one word; so I looked into the word 'Curves' (which I probabily will never do again) and eventually came up with this. The idea came from looking at curves in lizards and vines, then linking the curvy-reptile theme with Medusa - hence 'Green Eye'. Originally I was going to base it on a serif typeface but found that far too difficult on Fontstruct so used aggressive strait lines - similar to pre-historic drawings - to provide contrast against the seductive curves to make it seem like an Evil Temptress. The serif's are there to add authority. So thats Green Eyed Girl by me...Sophina B. *I think it may need tweaking in the sense that I've aligned each letter to the edge of the curve rather than the edge against the serif or stem. *

Sam Lambert, Graphic Design student at UWE. For my project I went with the theme of laziness (after an early failed attempt at using the theme of repetition). Whilst researching my theme I looked into the things people like doing best when feeling lazy, two very popular activities were smoking and sleeping. I wanted to create a simple/clean typeface that had a lazy feel to it. I tried to avoid giving it a predictable slouched look and thought a smokey/dreamy effect would work well for a font and also link to my research. I wanted to incorporate the smoking and sleeping/dreaming themes into the name and thought 'Pipe Dream' was perfect as it relates to both smoking and dreaming. All feedback is appreciated.

The idea of this typeface came from my theme of lazy. I first looked at what makes someone lazy and how the world that we live in today as made us this way. We want to achive minimal effort in all that we do and never want to do things ourselves anymore. From this I came up with the idea of buttons. Buttons are to make our life easier for example instead of pushing the door open we press a button to do this for us, which in my opinion is very lazy. We don't realise these buttons are here making us lazy we just go about our daily life not noticing the difference. I also put the buttons on thier side to give more of that lazy, can't be bothered to stand up feel about it.

The idea of this typeface came about from my theme of lazy, I first looked at what makes someone lazy looking at the different positions the human form makes when sitting or standing in a lazy way. I then had the idea of a potatoe couch someone who hardly moves around, fat,podgy and takes minimal effort in achiving things. I took pictures of people in these sort of positions to know what sort of shapes I wanted to achieve. My letters have no elements in to make it look even more fatter, they are very blocked,bold and done in a careless way to give more of that lazy impression. I also made the seperation of the letters very small as they are too lazy to even move apart from each. The ways in which I would use this typeface is maybe in fast food industry brands or to be controvertial in healthy foods to make the point of what being lazy will make you into.

Inspired by a lack of hard work, sitting down and laying back. Remove yourself from stress and responsibility. Despite the theme this font arrived from investigation into missing letters, bars, stems and other parts. Experiments drawing with the wrong hand, eyes closed and allowing the pen to do its own thing. 'The new italic'. A font for those who generally cant be bothered. the font is a respond to a project for my graphic design course. The theme I've chosen is lazy. The whole idea is based on the 'bad' handwriting that people have when they are lazy. The position of the body when we are bored don't allow us to write with our best handwriting so we leave parts of the letters unfinished. Those are the parts I cut out from my font. Also, it has a double meaning. Letters, themselves, are to lazy to complete, so they remain 'unfinished'. The font now looks more like something technological mathematical thing. It also remind me codes and messages.This is a clone
