Font from "Familiada", Polish version of "Family Feud". (pre-2016 changes)
I saw some similar fonts, but they had some flaws, so I decided to make one which is (for me) the best replica of this font.
Font is monospaced, so you don't have to edit width of the glyphs in other programs.
I quickly whipped up the font for the open source Space Cadet Pinball project as a proposed new default font which unlike the original Space Cadet supports multiple european languages.
Feel free to edit this and use this font. Perhaps a more experienced font designer can fix this up and add support for non-latin characters.
This font is designed for 8x8 led matrix display (max7219) with as small chars as possible (3x5 points). My idea was create small font for my weather station integrated in my Home Assistant as Esp Home based project, because default font is too beefy and cover whole display with few chars.
A dotty serif!
I love the technique of dotting, it gives me lots of oppertunites for curves, as you can see in the font.
The lowercase are alternates to the uppercase!
Thanks to all the fontstructers who give me determination and inspiration, such as frongile, riccard0, and elmonique!
I WANTED TO CREATE A SIMPLE FONT WITH HEXAGONS. IT TAKES A LITTLE IMAGINATION TO RECOGNIZE THE LETTERS THEN IT'S PRETTY GOOD I THINK.
FEEL FREE TO USE THIS FONT IN ALL KIND OF PRIVATE AND COMMERCIAL THINGS AND OTHER ART IN THE UNIVERSE.
LET ME KNOW THIS. PLEASE COMMENT.
YOU CAN'T SELL THE FONT DIRECTLY. PLEASE DON'T MAKE ANY KIND OF COPIES.
FEEL FREE FOR DONATION AND HONOR MY WORK.
PAY PAL DONATION RALF.FILLINGER@VODAFONE.DE
THANK YOU FOR USING THE FONT AND HAVE A LOOK TO MY OTHER FONTS.

Hershey Dot Cartographic with the 'dot size' increased to 2x, which is more similar to what the paper expected the dot size to be. (In fact, the paper may expect the dot size even larger, but fontstruct's filters don't let it get any larger than 2!)

Still dreaming of 24-pin printers...
This original 24×15 typeface is designed around the limitations presented by the near letter quality (NLQ) output of dot matrix printers (DMPs) during the '80s & '90s. Partially inspired by J. David Sapir's DOS font design program, LQMATRIX, it could have easily been created using that program back in the day.
(The "smart phone"-looking character in the À position is simply a placeholder, used as a quick reference to set vertical height lines while FontStructing.)
