Part of my "1 of the month" series of fonts I designed to welcome new months.
The "1st of a month" group was a fun idea but I found it a little complicated to do as I don't usually build several different fonts concurrently (ghosting happens too easily).
This font could be used to make tree decorations, gift tags, glass markers, place cards/napkin cards, etc. Just print on sturdy paper in large size and then cut out. Use pale grey ink if you want to decorate this paper base with collage, embroidery/stitching type work; print in coloured inks for a jazzy look which you enhance with dots of glitter glue or sparkly rhinestones. For a hanging decoration thread a length of yarn through the top 'rectangle' or you remove the rectangle's center to thread ribbon through it.
For some different fun you could glue your print on card stock and create greeting cards, jewellry pendants, shoe decorations. With a brooch back it could make a decoration of clothing, gift bags, hats.
Have fun, joyous December dear fellow FontStructivists :) :) :)
Based on Romaeo serif which I have not yet published as I'm still having a little problem due to the size of the fonts (but my patience can overcome it once I have the time to rework and finish them).
This is a cloneSpiky shapes and sticks that point in all directions: just take a twilight walk trough a forest in the fog.
The name is Hungarian as we have Hungarian connection in the family and among friends. It means my forest spirit.
Made for German texts. This means that it will also do English texts ;) In fact it will work for all languages that use the Latin set of letters, numerals, punctuation and symbols in text -- as long as no diacritics and other national specifics are desired.
This is a cloneInspired by dpla's comment about an animation showing the transformation of a standard font into the shattered look of "Bruch 01". Such animation will be easier to comprehend if the non-Bruch design is reasonably close to the Bruch design; however the transformations won't be spectacular ;)
Although rather 'basic' this design would work well for such a presentation. Sadly I don't have an animation program to show this.
This is a clone of Bruch 01inspired by old computer fonts
This is a clone of Gamaeo reglrAfter Dmitriy added the beautiful Cyrillic set I added More Latin and some of that set's punctuation and symbols. That explains the "C+ML" of the name ;) I thought about adding Latin A but at the moment I can't figure out how to set the accents without breaking the ratio between UC-LC heights even further.
This is a clone of ABC CMy 'serious' entry for the LoveComp 2016. The dents and hollows in the lines are intentional, the unevennes is an illustration. Love is not a "simple straight-edged neatly tidied" feeling nor a life-long dream-manufactured perfect experience. Every Love has those swirling and rambling sensations and discoveries as well as some uneven blinks-of-an-eye like those dents and bumps in this font, when things and feelings are more like each person involved: complexity needing learning and understanding, uncertainty requiring thoughtfulness and cooperation to smooth things out. Over the years of learning about each other we discover that those uneven areas are part of Nature's magick called Love. We discover that there is only one person like this unique one we love because of what and how they are ......... The name is Spanish ;)
Listening to cricket matches I saw a lot of trajectories in my mind when commentators discussed the balls' flight paths and where they landed, of some incredible bowling.
What a great inspiration for my first entry for the ReverseComp.
Maximum rectangle size is 16x20. The LC contains the flipped reversed UC.
I see many white-in-black designs coming in, I'm adding to them as we don't see this type very often ;)
I think that I managed to give the "impression" of those occasional graphics displayed in cricket, football, tennis and other ball-based sports (it might be hawk-eye linked) that show where balls have originated from or to predict/illustrate their continuation.
A blank space is on the underscore, a filled space on the space bar.
Numerals and very basic punctuation are done :)
Raysan in custom wrapping ;)
This is a clone of Raysan No-arrGood luck Ryan, I hope things will go well with you. Don't hesitate to check your account, no need to publish fonts while you have other things to do. But it would be nice if you could say "hi" in the forum :) when you're logged in
This is a clone of Flat FatWider lines on this version of Raysan. As it is a display font it only needs upper case and some essential punctuation. It would be useful for shop signs, headers and (part of) logos. It belongs to the Raysan family but I changed some spacings.
Yes,I didn't follow my design rule for J,T,Z,1,2,3,7 nor for .,+-+ and the different types of >< I found the left lines with the a in @ and e in & unpleasant and unnecessary.
This is a clone of Raysan GreatI needed a dotty looking font to print on cards to be embroidered by a youngster; the present design is based on it with added embellishments and more gyphs. Maybe someone else might find it useful? The different bricks used could indicate a change of stitch style or a different colour.
This is a clone of Kerbe2I recently saw a type face with bits missing and thought "Looks interesting, can I do something with this idea?". I used one of my older sans designs but soon discovered that I needed serifs to get logic to the gaps ;) So I started work on a good serif design to use as the base. Here is my interpretation of what I saw, it looks rather different from the one that inspired me.
