More pxl love. And another expansion of Lex Kominek’s Trajedy majuscules.
The freshness of the original charmed me into creating an extended set of matching miniscules, diacritics, symbols and ligatures. But why stop there? :^)This is a clone

My first serious attempt to make a serif using Fontstruct. This is for a university project, where I am attempting to make a serif that could be used in sci-fi moives/tv shows etc. So I’m trying to figure out what makes a typeface 'sci-fi' without a) being a sans and b)resorting to clichés that impede readability.
Any comments/feedback would be much appreciated!
** Much thanks to everyone who has/is giving feedback. Also a big thanks to William for giving me such detailed suggestions and pointers. **

An exercise in creating a classical Roman style font in FS
I am currently working on an extended and modified version of this ... which I can't help calling 'New Romantic' (I really should resist these urges).

For those who need to fill a long width with few characters, like the spine of a book or CD jacket.

This is my attempt at a circus-poster font. I have added international characters; thanks to the nudge tool, I have centered some accent marks.

type originally used to sign Aveiro's street names, in particularly, "Largo da Estação" - the train station square. It's part of a Typography project of the Design class from Aveiro's University.

Here's one I've had on the back burner for ages but last night I had the brainwave to soften nearly the whole thing and it's gelled a bit more. Gelled or gummed, whichever takes your fancy.

I started out quite enthusiastic about this one but now I've cooled somewhat.

2x2 upscaled. If only all the glyphs could be equally nice. Then I'd be happy. I would.

This bitmap font is based on little crosses that are arranged on a 2x2 pixel grid. Although the font size is 36px I had the best results with 128px font size in a PS/72dpi doc. This is a clone of Raketentim

Can't decide about that lower-case "s". I might try alternate cap M, W and N using diagonals but now my eyeses are telling me enough.

This is half-baked, but hey. I'm (reluctantly) going to have to forego some of those pesky diagonals because they're looking just a shade on the wrong side of weird. Particularly in the caps.

I can see I'm on a hiding to nothing with that damned cap "S". The lower case s is -- sort of-- acceptable, but it will be a miracle if I can avoid an ugly transition between angles in the x-bar.
So near and yet so far. All the cap single bowled letters could do with a more curvaceous aspect. If I manage to beat the "S" into shape I might have to take on the challenge.

work in progress. I'm hopeful I can turn this into a viable typeface: it is legible even at 8pt. Maybe when more bricks become available in FontStruct I can refine it.
