Clone of Tirrel (by Doug Peters).  Copyright 2019 Doug Peters.

This version has the 'soft' alternates.  These are the lowercase characters in 'Tirrel'.  The idea is that if someone is used to using the shift key and only wants the softer style of the font, they can use this version and they will only get all the caps versions of Tirrel whether they use shift or caps lock (or not).

Even though I have the soft version of the numbers in Basic Latin, the numerals in the Fullwidths and Halfwidths letterset are the harder style.  I figured I'd leave them there since you would have to go out of your way to fish them out, if you wanted alternates and no sense ripping them out or making them the same as what is in Basic Latin.

I really like this. My only beef is the single quotation marks and the periods/commas (too wide and they offset the double versions), but otherwise, it's great. :)

The issue is really inherint to a monospaced font.  I can't make the font any narrower (under this design concept), and if I place a tiny single quote or apostrophe it looks bad, way too much space around it.  I can't use the large version because it won't fit, unless I overlap the dounbles, which is, I suppose, an idea.  But I think I tried it and thought it stopped looking like an apostrophe or a single quote.

I'll make a clone and play with it.  I also need a better SM, I fixed it but the style doesn't match.  And I know the TM and SM are supposed to be plain, but the S doesn't even match the M, and that erks me.

Gotcha—I did not know it was monospaced. :) And, I like the overlapping idea. Ha ha, to the TM and SM.

Well, I settled for the double quotes touching each other.  I think I fixed the TM & SM issues, too.  Plus I added a few miscellaneous characters and bolded up some of the stuff that should've been bolder but was done earlier on before I knew what I was winding up with.  There's probably more that needs that attention, but I have to fix the eszett, next...

Crap.  I think you're right.  -  Cool.  Found it and replaced it.  Thanks for the sharp eye!
