Very loosely based off of the seemingly unknown typeface used on a lot of Ben Bova novels (E.G. Privateers). By the way, this was SUPER hard to make, but still, it's 100% free.

Very cool design,

This deserves a TP imo.

Congratulations! FontStruct Staff have deemed your FontStruction worthy of special mention. “Bovin’” is now a Top Pick.

Congratulation to TP. Btw. we would need some new bricks to better solve the outside corners of B, K, X letters. Those 1/8 arcs always have some thickness and are only available in one direction, so can not be stacked with opposite or mirror version. @Rob Meek can we hope for set expansion someday?

how is this not in the "bauhaus" tag

Woah! When did this happen?! Lol

As for the blocks to fill in the sides, didn't even know they existed!

Thanks for the TP!

how did you make those big curve block thingies

Comment by fоитz Wed, 11th september

@fоитz they're made by stacking together a rounded edge peice with the thinnest of the curved ring pieces at the bottom. I didn't actually come up with it though, I borrowed a lot of the peices from "zombriya eYe/FS" by elmoyenique. If you want me to elaborate on anything, just let me know! ;)

Whoops, actually I think I misread your question. So, basically, for this and a lot of other complex fonts, it's made using filters, which change the size of the actual blocks. If you flip on expert mode, go into edit and then click on filters, you can make all the blocks 2x bigger. Then, the question is not how I got the big curves, but how I got the small ones. As for that, I have no idea, since, like I said, I borrowed a lot of the pieces from another font. So, in essence, just go ask elmoyenique ;P

@Fruptile Shrump: Thanks for the mention. Like @Peter (Petruuccio) said, the "B/K/R/X/3" glyphs needs some extra shadow at the right upper (central) side. And the "8" a lot of work on the middle zone, IMHO.

Comment by elmoyenique Wed, 11th september

@elmoyenique: No problem! I've fixed most of these problems on Bovin Expandified, linked above, and will copy/paste the new characters over. I'll see what I can do with the 8.

...Whoops! Seems I've posted this comment before reading your comment about posting the comment before realizing I fixed the problems! Well, isn't that something
