hedgehog, porcupine, echidna, sea urchin? Combine this font with Elmoyenique's font Realta 2 to achieve a connected effect, after an idea by thalamic (see comments). I have followed the terminology that Cmunk used for his font dry heat to name the different sets of letters: Realta 1 Upper Case: isolates Lower Case: initials Realta 2 Upper Case: medials Lower Case: finals

This is very striking. I spent a long time staring at each letter. There is a lot of detail in how the radiation? extends out of the glyphs.

While looking at them, it occurred to me that you could do three additional versions of this where Left version will have no energy escaping on the right side and have just a straight edge; the Right version will have a straight edge on the left side; and the Middle version will have straight edges on left and right sides. Then you can mix the four fonts together to do something like:

I'm with thalamic; it's a lot of job, I know, but could be great at the end. I can make one of the three new fonts, if you want (with your ©, of course).

thalamic’s thought is on the money. ’twould be most amazing to combine the three proposed versions into a single opentype file programmed to automatically substituted the proper initial and terminal forms...

Thanks for your comments once again, fellow fontstructors. Thanks thalamic and will.i.ૐ, for taking the time to look at the font in detail and for sharing your wonderful suggestions and thanks elmoyenique, for your offer to help out with the work involved. For the moment, the whole idea can probably be created in two fontstructions, using both upper and lower cases as the four different versions. I'll think a bit more about it and will send you message over the weekend, elmo.

Thanks meek. I should really share this honour with thalamic, who came up with the idea to transform it into a connected font and elmoyenique, who made Realta 2.
