No, I didn't spend more time on the sample image ;)
cool stuff
Love it.
I was waiting for a genuine cyberfont, and here it is. I love it. Great entry and good luck.
There are some really visually interesting choices made on the joints of each letter.
Good consistency, even with symbols and accented characters.
Was it a stylistic choice to make the smaller curves on the e, 2, 5, 6, and 9 more oblong? Simple composites and nudging can make it fully circular.
Amazing font and sample!
Beautiful work, love the width of the characters and the cuts that echo the shapes of the letters.
The futuristic type seems to be your home turf, having created so many excellent fonts in the past (Sector 017, Critical Mass LDR, Synthek LDR, just to name a few). Padomela LDR is no exception. It is well designed; the rounded letters have a cute appearance. Very pretty demo poster. 10/10
Thank you peeps for the praises and kind words, your entries have been great as well.
@elmoyenique - "cyber" is back in fashion, eh?
@geneus1 - thanks a lot, Gene. I believe consistency is 25% the success. The rounding was a conscious choice, yes, but I kind of loved it as soon as I tried it out. I was like - "yep, it has to be done that way". Digits received a bit of a special treatment, they diverge a little bit from the rest. I don't even know how could I make their bowls fully circular in a 2 brick high grid haha. That's beyond my skill. See attachment.
@four - it's all about them cuts!
@Frodo7 - I appreciate that a ton. Your words mean a lot to me. Soft/cute yet still hardcore was the goal.
Full res sample pic. And if anyone's wondering, her name isn't "Padomela", that is just an abstract word that sort of fits, and showcases the letterforms nicely. Always remeber to feature your best letters in the name of the font, lol
Congrats, Neoqueto!
This was my favorite of the Future competition.
