Based on a typeface which was used in the opening credits of The Terminator, The Running Man, Class of 1999, and also used on Robert A. Heinlein's book covers (there's a font called Heinlein which is similar). I've been looking for the original for a long time but haven't found it, so I recreated it myself. (Edit: apparently it's called Bessellen)
Now updated to be closer to the original, plus added kerning.

Looks like R will better fit with a diagonal.
Known as Besslin from Monsen Typographers, Inc. I believe Monsen had offices in Chicago and Los Angeles too, which explains why it's been featured in several films.

@AV Perth (ConEAP) Thanks a lot for the information!
The original name is Bessellen. It was issued by VGC (Visual Graphics Corporation) between their 1972 and 1973 catalogs. I’ve compiled some info about Bessellen on Fonts In Use, and uploaded a scan of the full glyph set to Flickr.
@Florian Hardwig Thank you for that, much appreciated!
