A quick test of the new fractional composites. And to see if there are any abnormalities that come up.

Yehaaaaaaa!!! Youv'e found the long lost angle Gene. What untold delights await us?

Love it - the lost angle gene. Now if we can only find the elusive "curves" gene. The new features let you merge or scale down blocks of 2 or 4 - if only we could do the opposite (scale single blocks to composites of 2 or 4), we'd have it made.
Comment by johndilworth 13th may 2010
johndilworth: it's also possible to scale down blocks of 3.

?!!? 16 bricks MIA! The search continues.

@p2pnut. There are tons of new angles just waiting to be found. Even if its just to go back over old fontstructions and add improvements. Taking the instability of composites at the moment, it would probably be best to clones to be safe. I also recommend starting out with two bricks for compositing (thin triangles and solid brick paired with trapezoids and solid brick) to get a feel of how to manipulate the angles.

@johndilworth: With the new FS release, the curves aren't so elusive. The taller angles can be achieved using single rows of four bricks and the various triangles to adjust steepness. This fontstruction has the added complexity of being built at 2:2 scale.

@caliopigio: Yup. The new padding feature really increases its usefulness.

Great work and looking good.
Although I'd may be tweak the K & Y.

Numerals just added.

@afrojet: Thanks!

@thalamic: I'm honored by the compliment and to be in great company.

@djnippa: Great eye you have. You caught me. This was one of the first FS 2.0 fontstructions I did, and I was trying to get away with using only the 1:8 and 1:4 slope angles. Tweaking the KY to make it smoother is always a good thing.
