My own contribution to the Crouwel's fonts replicas. It's based on the Stedelijk Alphabet, used in a poster for an exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam (picture in the comments section). The font has already been extended and released by a foundry :, and by several fontstructors : see Getting Away With It - Kerned by Goatmeal, Amsterdam by fizgig, Wim Crouwel 68 by sc0ttwats0n and Steadelijk by delicraig. But we all made different choices concerning the missing characters, and sticked more or less to the original design.

Your connectors between the horizontal and vertical strokes are spot on, along with the rounded edges on the glyphs. Much better job than I did [increased the filters to 1.1 in order to achieve the stroke connections].

Thanks for sharing this one!

Thanks Goatmeal. Yours is perfectly suitable for a pixel size use.

One of my all-time favorite fonts, beautifully brought to life.

You've done a really nice job here! I met crouwel last thursday at the Design Museum in london, where I attended one of his lectures. It was amazing to meet such an influential type designer!
