Art-deco style font developed from the letter s (which wasn't that easy to make).

The downloaded font looks good only in ttf format (the bigger em value the better), but all of the otf files don't look so good (line break etc.)

Another archi-beauty. I love the inner curvy lines. Great first demo pict too. Good luck with it. The comp is getting animated...

Comment by elmoyenique 4th april 2021

Yes, these three-lined curves in s, z, 5, 2 and similar glyphs look really good!

Comment by four 4th april 2021

@elmoyenique @four Thanks! Glad you like it.

Another thing I and maybe others noticed some years ago but really never got into mentioning it because I personally never used it. But this font would look a little differently if we had some extra bricks. I like it when both core and connected bricks can be used together creating another possibilites. For example in my example below, the double line connects beautifully with thinner arc bricks, but the triple line doesn't have a matching width arc, the one we have now has a different width (which is also very useful but not for this case). Do you think you can add arc bricks that would connect with triple lines perfectly?

Comment by kassymkulov 4th april 2021

@architaraz I’ve taken note of the two issues you mention.

Comment by Rob Meek (meek) 4th april 2021

Although on first glance I can’t see the issue with the .otf – can you show me the problem (e.g. screenshot)? Thanks!

I tried all options like with and without fixed points or changing em value but there's always an issue. Of course I understand that there might be issues with complex shapes, but this one isn't complex. And my thinking is if the top part of the "s" looks ok then the bottom should look ok too? Because it's symmetrical? Unless I'm missing something.

@architaraz:I love your font. But I think the design principle could be stricter for 5 and 2. You can also slightly reduce the a and r to make a text without holes. And I hope you don't mind if I suggest a couple of new bricks under your typeface.

@meek: I am sure that these bricks are sorely lacking, they are especially important for х, ф and ж. I didn't make one brick which is without lines.

Comment by Dmitriy Sychiov (Sychoff) 4th april 2021

@Dmitriy I agree with the brick idea! I can't make those bricks, even with compostes and stacking…

Comment by Bryndan W. Meyerholt (BWM) 5th april 2021

@Dmitriy Thanks for the suggestions.

@ meek @Dmitriy @BWM Those bricks can be made with stacking, but I agree that it's best that they're available by default.

Comment by kassymkulov 5th april 2021

@KD I meant the Triline bricks that Dmitriy mentioned, but the mono and biline ones should be default bricks too…

Comment by Bryndan W. Meyerholt (BWM) 5th april 2021

Yes, those bricks are what I meant, it can be created with at least stacking method. Here's a screenshot of something that I am working on right now, the triple cross is the 10th brick ;) I understand that it's not that easy to create, so adding it to the default set would be the best option.
