A font perfect for a pixel-based game. Also includes box drawing and block symbols.
Aso see this font by Patrick H. Lauke and this font from Goatmeal, which has some similar letters this font. I made this font in the final days of Everybody Edits, although the letters in the (probably lost now) world have some details that are different from this font.
This font has been expanded to cover CP437, along with (some) legacy symbols.
I still wish we can create a custom .notdef character so we don't have to have the default one on downloaded fonts without having to use FontForge or Glyphs to change it.

This font conforms to an 8x8 pixel grid, making it perfect for retro systems. I might do a 16 tall by 8 wide version so there is more room for the diacritics in the future.
@meek Can there be a slider to change the line spacing in the preview so one can reduce it to allow 2 lines to touch each other, which is what one might want when it comes to block elements and box drawings?
@Bryndan W Meyerholt (BWM) - The link in the description is actually from our dear friend @Patrick H. Lauke (redux). ;^) Perhaps you also thought of this one from me?: Taito 1982
@Goatmeal Thanks for noticing. I get the two mixed up sometimes. I also added the link to your font in the description.
@Bryndan W Meyerholt (BWM) - It's really easy to tell us apart: @Patrick H. Lauke (redux) has a WHOLE LOT more fonts made than me... ;^) Thank you for the recognition. :^)
What I think the site would have looked like if it existed in the 1980's and 1990's. Includes a mouse cursor sprite. Uses VGA colors, and it is 2x scaled.
Sorry about the duplicate images being uploaded. Had a few snags with the image caching thing on my end.
@Bryndan W Meyerholt (BWM) - What a fun mock-up! :^)
I'm with Goatmeal.
@Goatmeal @elmoyenique Thanks. I used MS Paint to move the lines closer to each other, then GIMP for the colors and other modifications.
I still wish there was a line spacing slider in the preview.
Will add Kaktovik Numberals once Meek updates unicode support.
I think the number 4 character looks slightly overweight.
How about something like this?
@STF Changed. It also makes it easier to read at pixel size.
@BWM keep reminding me! ;-)
Yep, '4' now looks a lot more correlative with the other alphanumeric capitals.
Two other letters that could be slightly improved are: 'K, R'
Both glyphs feel a tad too narrow in their top sections. I suggest moving K's arm 1 unit to the right, that 'll probably fix it. And for 'R' I suggest to widen the bowl also by 1 extra unit.
Cheers.
@STF K, R, and their variants have been modified like you asked, Now R is more consistant with P. I can't the top right bit of K any further or it might look weird for me.
Unicode 15 released, Kaktovik numerals are still in the plans once Unicode is updated on the site.
Kaktovik numerals added!
