A font for creating flags. I'm pretty sure this hasn't been done before.
Directions: Type the vertical line (|) for a flagpole. Then type 0 for the background. Then add details using the upper and lowercase letters. You will need a word processor that supports text coloring if you want to color your flags.

Sample of some flags I made with this on Textedit
One of those that doesn't look great in the preview but is actually really clever and useful. I would add some tags so people can find it. Maybe also adding some pre-composed flags in one of the non-latin charsets would make the preview more exciting and give people an idea of the possibilities.
Wow. So super cool and creative and awesome.
Thanks, meek. I'll add some tags.
Thanks, thalamic. Always nice to read your comments :)

Nice work winty5! I thought the crescent and star was a bit small, but I now see that it needs to be used in many different settings, and your size is probably the one that works best. Here are some flags that you missed in your sample ;) 10/10
Thanks Cmunk! I'll make a larger sample with all the flags of the world that are possible later. Here's a small one:

Fantastic!
Sorry guys for being gone recently, I had finals at my school so I didn't really have time for much else with all my studying, but I want to start making fonts again.
Anyway, I have a good idea for a project relating to this font. We should show the world how diverse FontStruct is! My idea is this: Everyone on here should post their nationality/country of origin and I can make an image of all the flags. I'm from USA, so I'll start:
Welcome back Noah! Yes I missed seeing you here. I hope your results will be as great as you are :)
I have designed a flag for FontStruct with this :)
The black and gold represent the colors of FontShop (our sponsor)
The pink with the white star represents the Top Pick, a high honor on FontStruct ;)
That FS flag is super :)
Thanks Aeolien :)
Great idea and excellent work and samples! I think that if you put some completed sample flags in the first number of characters, the font would show up better in the gallery pages and preview window.
I'll try it. Meek suggested it but I wanted to see what other people thought. I'll experiment around a bit and see what I can do.
ALMOST posted a false bug report- turns out i changing shape was actually windows 10 spying on all of my typing and auto-capitalizing, even though it wont do such corrections on this text box? otherwise it seems quite fun to mess around with.
I'm from the UK!
