UPDATE

I discovered via this article (http://fontsinuse.com/uses/8007/future-exhibitions-n-1) that geneus1 created a similar font (http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/75591) to this one in 2008. Despite the obvious similarities, I did not know of geneus1's font until 2014/11/28.

Based on Tetris blocks. I tried to avoid using too many 1x4 and 2x2 blocks. I also tried to make each character self-supporting...meaning the blocks are built up from the bottom and the upper blocks are supported by the lower ones and not just floating in mid-air. Due to some design decisions and time constraints, I didn't achieve this with every character.

Remarkable work based on tetrominoes (polyominoes containing 4 squares joined by complete edges). I like you've labeled each tetromino, including the mirror pairs, with different colours. You could take this challenge to another level by using pentominoes, or even hexominoes. 10/10

Great execution. Using less of 1x4,2x2 blocks brings a nice effect to this font overall. :) I wonder if it is possible to create one such without floating blocks. That would be a great challenge.

I updated E, F, Z, 5, and 7 to get closer to my goal of having each character be self-supporting.

A few more to go...

C, G, Q, S, 2, 3, and 6 have a S / Z block

I'm not sure what you mean by "have a S / Z block".

Comment by aphoria 8th november 2016

They have a floating S block or Z block

Ah, yes I understand now. I mentioned in the description that I tried to make each character self-supporting...meaning the blocks are built up from the bottom and the upper blocks are supported by the lower ones and not just floating in mid-air. However, due to some individual character design decisions and time constraints, I did not achieve this with every character.

The E in the sample does have a floating block, but the current E does not. I just never updated the sample.
