It is supposed to look like ÿ, because there's no difference between handwritten ij and ÿ.

Dutchies write y like.. how I made it in my font. IJ is just y with two tittles, like a joined i and j. (a tittle is a dot for an i or a j, not to be confused with dot above)

What I actually did was just copying the y and placing 2 tittles, lol.
