This is a WIP for now. Currently contains Latin, Devanagari, and Chinese* numerals.
This font also contains the letter E for numbers like 1.2345678E+9.
Lentariso was used for text, while this font was used for the numbers in this sample.
*Only up to 10,000 at the moment.
the sample doesn't appear in the live tab because the comment it was attached to was made before the font was published.
@Bryndan W. Meyerholt (BWM) - I could be wrong, but my experience is that a picture + comment will display ONLY the comment on the Live Feed. A picture by itself with NO comment will display just fine.
(That's why I always separate my comments and my pics. You end up doubling the number of posts, yes, but at least both will display on the Live Feed...) ;^)
@Goatmeal: That is correct, but what Bryndan said is correct as well, any images/comments made prior of publishing will not be featured in the Live Feed once it is published.
Wondering what other numeral systems are easy to build and not super detailed…
roman numerals
But only the basic ones. The advanced numerals to be added soon.
Nice numbers. I like the 7 segments clock ones. Good luck at the Comp.
@elmoyenique Thanks! They are located in the Symbols for Legacy Computing block at U+1FBF0 to U+1FBF9
superscript/subscript
@lucapri I'm not sure if there's enough room for superscripts or subscripts…
why??
how did you get the tally marks
symbols for 7 segments:
🯰🯱🯲🯳🯴🯵🯶🯷🯸🯹
tally marks:
𝍷𝍸
With Unicode 16 set to release on September 10, 2024, The Sunuwar and Gurung Khema digits might be easy to do, that is once Meek adds support for Unicode 16 once it releases…
This font has been expanded to support alphabetical characters.
Yes, I know the W doesn't work very well, so if you have any ideas on how to improve it, feel free to drop them in the comments.
use 4/1 slopes?
I am not sure why you are not satisfied with the W, to me it seems little too wide and thin (by the way A, and V do too). I would suggest try to make more steep slanted composite bricks, but who am I to give advices here, you seem to well experienced one.
I used 10:3 slope composites to make not only the W narrower, but also the A and V. They look better to me now.
They look much better now. 10/3 is rather unxpected though. Very close angles could be made with 1/3 (little wider) or 1/4 (little narrower), which are somewhat easier to place together. Hats off to you for not making compromise.
will you do extended roman numerals
add lowercase
In case anyone is still wondering: Yes, I still have the font that holds the future glyphs in a seperate font (Sunuwar and Gurung Khema). They will be moved into this font once Meek adds support for Unicode 16 (including CJK Ext-I, the one block added in Unicode 15.1)
Clever font, 10/10 from me.
@Meek Unicode 16 has been released now, I wonder when the new characters will be accessible in the FontStructor?
(I'll add the Sunuwar and Gurung Khema numerals as soon as possible)
Still waiting for Meek to update the Unicode block list in the FontStructor to version 16.0…
Almost three weeks later, and Meek still hasn't updated the Unicode block list in the FontStructor yet…
Sunuwar and Gurung Khema numberals added!
