An excerpt from "Invictus" by William Earnest Henley...
It reminds me of Tengwar. One of my first attempts at Fontstruct was a similar-looking angular Tengwar font. I never got satisfied enough to publish it though. This font also reminds me a bit of Tai Le.
The long descenders reminded me of Tengwar. The letter shapes are gorgeous. It's unusual to see letters that seem to consist of 2 distinctly different 'shapes'. It looks intriguing.
My first inspiration was Tengwar, but that was many moons ago. I do however enjoy basing my alphabets off of the angled cursive style of Tolkiens language. This alphabet was designed to be written by a quill and nib style of pen, thus the short angular strokes. Another of my alphabets, Kitau Deux, follows similar gothic strokes, and has some interesting and unique aspects all it's own.
I'm not attempting to question your authenticity, however unless you are Simon Halfdan Hvilshøj Andersen, you are not the creator of Atemayar and therefore cannot claim credit for any inspiration of Atemayar. However, if that is who you are, then I admire this font greatly and have made my own version (with full credit to the author of the alphabet given) that is easier for users to read in smaller font styles, as well as removed the difference between capital and lowercase letters.
I only mean to come here to say this because every author deserves their own credit, and there is no record of Simon ever creating another alphabet called Kitau Deux. He however has created many other alphabets and many other fonts that your profile does not contain. I only mean for credit to go where it's due, so if you are Mr Simon, I apologize, however if you are not, you shouldn't be claiming Atemayar as your own alphabet and how you received inspiration of it.
