I like to be overly critical, so sorry in advance. RM Warren was a font to be expanded, not condensed. The beautiful stroke contrast cannot be condensed without the contrast being ruined.

@j4s13: Never worry about being critical. Constructive criticism is what FS is all about.

I often do a condensed version so that it can be packaged with other versions when I sell my work.

However, I really must take a look at expanding this one - it's not something I had thought of, so thanks for the tip :)

Again, nice and smooth design, and decent character set. This condensed version look natural, not too crowded. I disagree with j4s13's opinion, at least with the second part. RM Warren had been carefully designed with the possibility of both condensed and extended versions in mind. I don't see the quality suffering any bit with this condensed version. (For the font name use capitals for every word: RM Warren Condensed.) This is a huge amount of work, a massive undertaking, and the output is of high quality. 10/10

Really good font family. The W looks a little bottom-heavy to me (I'd raise the middle a bit), and the ends of K/k and X/x are a little inconsistent. Less sharp commas/quotes could fit better.

I think the condensed proportions suit the font well, but it looks a little "squished" since the vertical lines are narrower than the horizontal ones. But it's a lot of work to condense it properly.

Also there seems to be a stray brick on j.
Comment by V. Sarela (Yautja) 17th august 2015
And another on C (sorry, I should look more carefully before posting!)
Comment by V. Sarela (Yautja) 17th august 2015
@Yautja: I have had a close look at the C and j (and the glyphs before and after them) and can't see any stray bricks at all.
Comment by p2pnut 19th august 2015
Hmm, at least the preview window shows them (on B rather than C though)
Comment by V. Sarela (Yautja) 19th august 2015
Cheers buddy - I eventually found the ones on the B amd o with a stroke. Still can't find anything on the j (or the surrounding glyphs).

The offending bricks were tiny composites ... the very smallest that I use.

Guess the moral is - clean my monitor screen more often :)
