Great! 10/10+fav. Use a 1:4 angle for max smoothness and a side note: Do you intend to use uneven strokes for curves (such as C)?
Comment by Evie Atarax (j4s13) 2nd december 2013

This is a rework of an early font of mine from 2009. Not much noticeable difference at first sight. Keen eyes, however, may discover dozens of small adjustments, minor changes. I wanted to make the design more consistent, and the text pleasantly flowing.
My second goal was to make the character set more comprehensive. More punctuation marks, special characters, full set of fractions, superscript, and subscript numbers have been added, as well as a dedicated glyph for Bitcoin.

@j4s13: Thank you for your feedback and rating. I don't want to achieve maximum smoothness. After spending a few years with Fontstruct I've developed a taste for the rugged polygonal look. And no uneven strokes.

I'm still not sure about a few glyphs. I leave it now as they are, and revisit them later. I'm considering to add a Cyrillic set, and/or make a thin and a super fat version.

A strong design, with a very full set of characters.

Had you considered a rounded 'W' (i.e. a 'double U')?
Comment by p2pnut 2nd december 2013
I was thinking about full superscript digits. Then you can create fractions like 123456789/11239 or something. Possibly a version with discretionary ligatures like st or ch? Is your em dash 12 pixels wide?
Comment by Evie Atarax (j4s13) 2nd december 2013

@p2pnut: Thank you for your comment and generous rating. The rounded W is a possibility, even as an alternate glyph, but I don't see the point: why to make the W look like UU if it could look like VV quite comfortably. The W is another sort of V after all. I'm fully aware of the fact I've made rounded Ws many times. Perhaps, it is just a matter of taste. I like both versions, but feel the one with diagonal strokes more authentic.

@j4s13: All superscript and subscript digits are included (0123456789); you may find 123 elsewhere on the character map. To create any fraction we may need a set of small numbers on the baseline (not subscript) and a forward slash. Discretionary ligatures: since it is quite a heavy typeface, I can't really think of any application where one would need such sophisticated feature. I would reserve st, ch ligatures for loftier fonts, e.g. Garamond or Zapfino.

Em dash: thank you for asking. I think what you really meant was 12 points, not pixels. Or bricks? I have to check it and make adjustments, if necessary. Thanks again for your comment. With typeface design even the tiniest detail have importance.

i found the upside down dagger

Comment by brynda1231 20th november 2016

The inverted dagger is part of the supplemental punctuation block. —Off topic, I really like this. My only suggestion would be to have "de" mirror "el", but with the underbar, of course. :)

Comment by TCWhite 21st november 2016

@TCWhite: I'm sorry, I don't really understand your suggestion: to have "de" mirror "el", but with the underbar. Are you referring to the Cyrillic Д and Л?  I've changed them already. I didn't like the first version either.

Comment by Frodo7 24th november 2016

Yes, that's what I was referrencing. And yes, it looks much better. :)
