  • the osd font as seen on various lg flatron lcd monitors from around 2006-2009.

    i recreated these by taking clear photos of the osd, counting pixels to figure out the size of each tile and drawing the characters into fontstruct. blame whoever originally drew this character set for the period and slash being offcenter.

    i initally recreated all the characters i could see from exploring the osd and the service menu thinking there would be more but i also had a look at a dump of the firmware for my model of monitor when i did find one and it turns out the k, the x and the z are indeed the only lowercase letters that exist. the full stop/decimal point, the forward slash and the colon are the only non-alphanumeric glyphs as well, as far as i could tell by squinting at the hex editor anyway.
