All glyphs are made of closed loops, therefore Knot Theory applies.

Wonderful execution of the idea. Really like those big fat not in B, X, and Z.

May I say: Dia uas! Teasaí!
Makes you wannabe Celtic.
I can picture this in some legendary book cover hidden in ancient times.

Thank you very much for your comments and rating. I started this project more than a month ago. As usual, I have created a large scale version to show more knot patterns, but it was too big for FS to handle. This is a small version to demonstrate the concept, and hopefully, there is more to come.

That looks very nice and you can really tell the work and effort you put into it.

Congratulations! FontStruct Staff have deemed your FontStruction worthy of special mention. “Valimar” is now a Top Pick.

I, having a house in Wales, like this very much! I love the Celtic design and the very silent suggestion of a 3D effect. 10/10 for design, 10/10 for ingenuity!

@gferreira: Thank you.

@aaaalllleeeexxxx: Wow! You are the first to notice that. I am impressed. In fact, that was precisely my next move I planned to make. We'll see how it works. Thank you for you rating.

Spectacular work! I love this braiding style... Always have. My whole school books used to be full of little celtic knot sketches.
I've even been doing sketches on pretty much the same concept recently, but this time you were first... ;) No regrets though that I haven't been faster, your execution is just impeccable - chapeau!

Thank you all.

@shasta: I'm going to release more and bigger versions based on this theme. But it should not discourage people to make their own versions. I don't think we should limit ourselves to just one adaptation of the celtic knot theme. The meadow is big enough for many flowers. If you have a good idea, just go ahead and develop it. Remember, we would have been a lot poorer without the several flavours of 3D Escher fonts.

I am obsessed with celtic knotwork. This font is amazing! I don't know how you have the patience to do all this work!

Thank you for your compliment. If you've liked Valimar, you might find Rivendell (p1) also interesting. And there is more in the pipeline...

Dear Mr. Frodo7:
Jobs like this are proving that elegance and technology they will never have problems (besides having with it a huge level of physical effort behind). Thanks again. You have the 7 rings, I'm sure now.
Sincerely,
elmoyenique
