  • This is a recreation of the character set that is used in the displays from the trains on the Circle Line (that LTA/SMRT Trains doesn't want you to have it).

Extra characters: Handmade them using either existing characters or manually.

Fun fact: The Circle Line (CCL) was originally known as the Marina Line in the 1990s before it evolved into the orbital line we know today, through the merger of the Marina and the Outer Circle lines in April 2001.

Note from Designer: Final update issued today, 14 Apr 2026, to replace the "@" and "&" since there are new footages of this message shown in the in-Train display for Circle Line Extension Open House back on 13 January 2012.

My bleak confession: The newly minted Alstom Metropolis C851E, debuted on 13 April 2026, uses the same font as the North-East Line, which is one fucking hell of a disappointment. It was originally planned to be a new font, which is going to be named as "Marina Two" (as seen on set 865 at the one of the C851E trainsets at the Singapore Rail Testing Centre), or for "Marina One" to be reused again since I liked the aesthetics of that "Marina One Origin" font, like the lowercase letters G (U+0067), J (U+006A), P (U+0070), Q (U+0071), and Y (U+0079), but never did we expect is that LTA reused the font that was exclusively meant for the North-East Line, for the Circle Line. This goes to show that each identity of every train line in Singapore is being stripped apart, piece by piece, until there is nothing left to identify them anymore. Hope the Down Town font family won't meet the same fate...

It has come to our attention, that some of our fonts could have the potential to be flagged by someone to the Land Transport Authority to be "unauthorised" and "copyright-infringing" under the Copyright Act of 2021". This is not true, and is considered to be slanderously defamatory against the Font Designer, and FontStruct as a whole.

I have my decision, in terms of preservation of those display fonts sourced from buses across Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit transport system through this font-building website FontStruct, and I will stand by it, and I will rightly refuse any takedown request from anyone, even if it is from the mightiest of them all itself, the Land Transport Authority.

Caution: Any attempt(s) from any governing bodies in Singapore to get this font taken down, by the font provider, will be constituted as "an "immoral act of digital censorship" and as such, will be met with swift and brutal resistance.

Me desculpe a pergunta, mas por quais razões não liberam a fonte? A gente do Brasil curte muito esse tipo de fonte, os letreiros de ônibus usam este tipo. Queria muito, me desculpe perguntar.

Pensar nisso me dá pesadelos.

(The reason why I can't release the font for download is because of the Singapore's 'men-in-white' being hostile to the 'preservation' thing. They will literally send me a legal notice to tkae this down, or risk being sued by them, on bogus criminal charges of 'terrorism', 'trade dress infringement', and/or 'trade mark infringement'. This stupid policy of 'See anything suspicious? Call the staff, or call 999' really puts all enthusiasts in a state of depression. Thinking about it gives me nightmares. Even though they can rant about this, that does not give them the rights to claim that I brazenly stole their intellectual property! This font is my work, so I have the rights to decide if this is available for the public. Those Singapore's 'men-in-white' really needs a life... geez!
