Gothixel Mono. A blackletter-style monospace font for small pixel sizes. One half of the Gothixel font family.
Gothixel Mono proudly supports Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, and Hebrew character sets. It also has a big inventory of characters with diacritics, including those necessary for Vietnamese and polytonic Greek.
Gothixel Mono's majuscules are one pixel wider than the minuscules, and the font's default tracking is on the wide side to accomodate this. You can tighten the tracking if desired, but in that case, all-caps text will run together. If you need appropriate space between all letters, I recommend Gothixel, the proportional-width font. However, Gothixel is further behind in development and doesn't have as many character sets yet.
This font family was originally named "Blackletter RPG".
Made for FontStruct's Future Competition. This display typeface was designed with a little influence from stencil, this font has rounded corners intermixed with angular corners, and gaps in unusual places. It also uses the “two-storey” lowercase g, which was a challenge to fit cohesively within the restrictions I gave myself.

I remember from back when I was learning Japanese, that the stroke order in writing hiragana, katakana, and kanji was important. I didn't get very far in my Japanese studies, but even then some of the kanji were like 17 strokes each, and each with a specific order of marking the strokes. Thinking of what would be appropriate for a number competition, I recalled the number and order of strokes per glyph idea. Hence, this font.
The idea brought with it an inherent textfont sensibility. Deciding on the slope of the diagonal strokes was tricky as they rendered those letter either too wide or too narrow. The correct choice was a slope with a flat top or bottom. That allowed the width of the letter whatever I wanted but the flat top took away from the natural marking of the stroke, as in: no one actually writes an A with a horizontal top stroke. Settled on the current slope and width. Still, the letters came together fairly quickly; the kerning not so much. Whether they were adjusted or not, around 10,000 kerning pairs were checked. More than 2500 kerning pairs are included here...and many more still remain. How good or consistent the kerning is is for other's to judge.
Some of the glyphs are quirky, I know. There are already hundreds of thousands of exceptional standard text fonts. No point redoing those.
Due to the need to show the strokes individually, the font came out as stencil. That was an unintentional byproduct of the idea.
Some strokes are split in two to show distinction between the crossing strokes, but technically they would be continuous.
The strokes are based on my own handwriting style; others may do it differently. For example, when being careful, I write the Z in three strokes, whereas I suspect others probably write it in one.
This is not a color font even though it is auto-charcterized as one because at one point I experimented with making the stroke-order numbers gray. I thought about copy-pasting the glyphs in a new FS, but the follow-up thought of having to redo the kerning quickly put a stop to that madness.

Eclectic font. You can even make a led T-shirt for a party. Cyrillic caps while remaining eclectic refers to its Soviet past.

This is a clone of KuliboniMy final entry in the competition. Inspired by Mazey, zlabyrinths eYe/FS, and wavelength. Each glyph has its own maze, and each maze connects with the next. Tilde ~ and low line _ connect words, grave ` closes beginnings and ends, and the left and right arrows < > are for the start and end. There are also some alternates in Extended Latin A. 12/19/13 My biggest update yet (literally). I've increased the circles' size from two to four units, making overshoots and much more possible. Every character has been reworked to fit the new size, and the font is now generally more condensed. V2.0

The Works Progress Administration (W.P.A.) was the largest agency of FDR's "New Deal", employing millions of people. Over 2,000 posters were produced by the W.P.A. to raise awareness and support the arts.
I have a lot of admiration for these posters and a style of sign painters' lettering (sometimes called “gas-pipe”) that was common in the U.S. during the 1930s-'40s. WPA Gothic gets much of its inspiration from this poster in particular. This FontStruction stays true to the sample’s simple letterforms, but the FontStruct grid does present a few limitations. For more refined typefaces in this style check out DDC Hardware, Futura Display, FF Golden Gate Gothic, Refrigerator, and MVB Solano Gothic by some of my favorite type designers, two of which (Parkinson and Van Bronkhorst) are East Bay natives.
WPA Gothic has a few alternate glyphs hanging out in the Extended Latin slots with more to come.

– Loosened the spacing a tad more.
– Added a few punctuation marks, including dashes, bullets, and inverted question/exclamation marks.
– Tightened ‘f’ spacing.
– Lengthened the quotes and apostrophes. They were so wee!
– And I fixed that Å! It’s not pretty, but it’s a ring.
