I was inspired by the recent influx of minimal-grid fonts. I wanted to see if I, too, could manage to get a readable font with very few blocks and a small grid. This is a 3x3 font. I've used full square, indent square and quarter circle bricks. Maybe I can add a few more punctuation marks and symbol glyphs, but I found this size very restrictive. I have not looked through the fonts created since FS started, I suspect that what I have built here has already been done and apologise to any earlier creator but I honestly didn't copy nor clone your work.
Clone of a thick rounded 9-Segment LCD display . I changed its symetry more to my liking and set all segments to fit within the character 8 boundaries. It had only letters needed to indicate time, date, temperature or AM/PM, but I expanded it a bit later...

This is a clone of +220aAt the end of October I decided to dive into the new Bricks 'Connect'. I started with the lowercase 's' & 'a'. Working out what the minimal size I could fontstruct it in, then expanded and condensed it from there to accomadate the rest of the glyths. You can still see these in the font above (Just before the Latin characters. As I progressed I came to love the thin white gaps, and then tried to have every glyth with some element of the curved white gap in it. Some were more successful than others. As you can see, I have included the less preferred options at the end. I've also designed some of the final glyphs in illustrator, as it was impossible to have all of them with one white line, without help from an external app.
The most difficult glyphs to create and ultimately the most satisfying once completed were the 'V' and '~'.
I liked the look of final font so much, that I decided to create a whole family. Cableguynium 0 (which has Zero cables), CableGuynium 2 (which has 1-2 cables per glyth), and CableGuynium 3 (Which has 3-4 cables).
Unusually I struggled naming this font, I have early versions saved called Flowonica, Rubber Tyre, Ice Skater and Fibropticon, ..... eventually settling on CableGuynium as it was the most memorable.
ANY CRITICISM, GOOD OR BAD IS WELCOMED.

The name is Hungarian as we have Hungarian connection in the family and among friends. It means my forest spirit.
We used to have sheep and I wanted a sheepy font for a project. The sheep have quite clear letters in smaller size but the sheepy shape is less obvious. This is my first font and I will improve it to get a better shape/outline (thankyou to Fontstruct).
