Recreation of the pixel font used in Sega's seminal arcade shooter "After Burner" (1987) and its sequel/revision "After Burner II" (also 1987). This font includes the variant "A" (used mainly for the "SEGA" copyright notice) in the lowercase. Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font used in Tecmo's side-scroller "Rygar" (1986) - notable for its rather anemic looking "Y" and the interesting vertical positioning of the single quote/double quote/comma. Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

This pixel font recreation is a combination of the font used in Centuri's "Phoenix" (1980, developed by Amstar) its follow-up "Pleiads" (1981, by Tehkan aka Tecmo) and SNK's "Safari Rally" (1979, NOT distributed by Centuri, raising some questions about the true origin of this font).
Only the characters present in the tile sets of the games have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Capcom's first arcade machine, "Vulgus" (1984) ... a deceptively easy looking but hard-as-nails shooter. With the exception of a few minor additions, this recreation only contains the characters found in the game's tile set - including a complete lowercase (with very wide letterspacing) which is not featured in the actual game.

Recreation of the pixel font from Technos' 1986 arcade game "Xain'd Sleena" (aka "Solar Warrior" and "Soldier of Light"). It includes the lowercase which, from what I can tell, is not actually used in game. Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font used in Seibu Kaihatsu's 1995 shooter "Viper Phase 1" (or, "Raiden in Space" as it's often referred to). The same font was reused for "Raiden Fighters" (1996), "Raiden Fighters 2" (1997) and "Raiden Fighters Jet" (1998).
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the pixel fonts used in Fuuki's 1998 fighter "Asura Blade: Sword of Dynasty". This recreation includes both the large letters (in the uppercase range) and numerals from the title screen, and the smaller letters (in the lowercase) used in-game for the fighter names. Only a minimal set of punctuation, as found in the game itself, has been included.

Recreation (or rather, interpretation) of the pixel font used in Capcom's classic Captain Commando (1991), reused in The Punisher (1993) and (slightly modified) in Saturday Night Slam Masters (1993) aka Muscle Bomber.
In the game itself the font contains slight antialiasing, while this recreation does not - which is why I'd consider this more of a reinterpretation.
Only the characters present in the game ROM have been included.

Recreation of the first variant of one of Capcom's classic pixel fonts, from Black Tiger (1987) - notable for the slightly awkward "C", the presence of two distinct exclamation marks and two distinct sets of numbers. This recreation only includes the slanted exclamation mark and the numerals used for the score. Only the characters present in the game ROM have been included. This is a clone of Knights of the Round

Recreation of the pixel font from Sega's classic "Space Harrier" (1985). In the game, the font is always used with an outline and 2px of space between the letters - this also explains the slightly anemic look of the full stop, which I recreated for some of the additional characters not originally featured. This version has a normalised letter space of only 1px...if you're aiming to recreate the look of the game, you'll have to include some further spacing.

A recreation of the pixel font used in Williams Electronics' "Joust" (1982) and "Joust 2" (1986) arcade games, with a few custom characters added to make it more useful - including a set of arrows based on the "delete" left arrow from the hiscore entry screen. I took the liberty of modifying the overly chunky colon from the original, bringing it in line with the rest of the characters.

Another video game font, this one from the second game in the popular Raiden shoot-'em-up series (Seibu Kaihatsu, 1994).
With the exception of the W character (which is appears flipped horizontally in-game), this is more or less a straight character dump. Of note are the small numbers, which appear whenever a medal is collected.

Another "Data 70" variant, this time from Konami's 1990 arcade version of Aliens. Note that a handful of characters are 7-8 pixels wide, which is also the reason for the slightly wider letterspacing of 2 pixels (as in the arcade game itself). Includes additional characters not found in the original game's tile set. This is a clone of Mars Matrix
