Third font in a series of three colour pixel experiments, made after reading Arcade Game Typography: The Art of Pixel Type by Toshi Omagari. This one has a double shadow, which gives an extruded 3D effect at a smaller scale.
Feeling inspired after reading Arcade Game Typography: The Art of Pixel Type by Toshi Omagari, I set out to make my own 8x8 pixel font. I worked with a similar approach to the one I used in the larger grid font offstruct rgb.
First started in Adobe Illustrator, each character consists of three iterations of the same 6x6 pixel letter: in RGB Red, Green and Blue. These were layered, offset by one pixel diagonally, filling the 8x8 box. To achieve additive blending, I applied the "Lighten" transparancy setting. Combinations of overlaying these three primary RGB colours result in the secondary RGB coloured pixels Yellow, Cyan and Magenta. In the additive mixing of coloured lights, the equal blending of all three primary colours results in White. All pixels were then entered manually into the fontstructor and black pixels were added for display purposes.
A tear-off ticket design. I went for the slightly gaudy look which is associated with carnivals and arcades.
While making this I also got the idea for a font which looks like a 35mm reel with little scenes on each segment...
Original size: 14.25pt (use multiples of this value for pixel perfection)
Large font used in numerous Atari video arcade games, 1984-1987. As the original font uses three different colors for a font-smoothing effect, I attempted to replicate it in two-color by using differently-sized squares. Not sure how well that works; as such, any suggestions are welcome. Best below 20 pt.
An experiment -- Half-tone uses dots, so why not replace dots with pixels? Thus, Half-Pixel Arcade was born.
This is a clone of The Video Arcade Game FontFont from the ingame marquee display of Barcade Brawl, a 2015 game by yours truly. This was made to look similar to the system fonts from old arcade boards, PC microsystems, etc. You've probably seen the fonts I'm talking about; they're everywhere and many people refer to them singularly as "the arcade font" or "the NES font".
This is 7x7 with no wasted matrix, but it looks better without monospacing since not every glyph is the same width. It also makes a decent terminal & chat font, at least for those who don't care about the case of the messages they read and write.
Feel free to use this in your games, etc.!

Original size: 5.25pt (use multiples of this size for pixel perfection)
Color recreation of the pixel font used in Capcom's "Hyper Street Fighter 2 - The Anniversary Edition" (2004) - though it actually made its first appearance in "Super Street Fighter 2" (1993).
This recreation uses the special TTF+SVG format, which currently has limited support.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
This is a clone of Hyper Street Fighter 2 Anniversary EditionThe ubiquitous video game font standard, likely designed by Lyle Rains of Atari; first used in 1976's "Sprint 2" by Atari, and then on until well into the 1990s. Used by most video arcade game companies, including (but not limited to): Namco, Williams Electronics, Irem, Atari, Konami, Bally-Midway, Taito, Nintendo and Sega. The lower case characters are from several Atari video arcade games from 1984-1987. Plenty of alternate characters -- variations used in conjunction with the standard font, all selected from a variety of MAME32 game roms.

Revisiting a font I made over 10 years ago as a request: A solid version of the large font used in numerous Atari video arcade games, 1984-1987. By removing the three-colored font-smoothing effect, the typeface definitely loses its elegance; some glyphs (especially the #) are reduced to mere "blobs" of pixels. Hopefully the requester finds some use for it. Best below 20 pt.
