Are you looking for a really fancy font to use? Do you want to write a book for all those sophisticated people out there? This is for you! All caps! {Bonus! Also includes secret letters! Lowercase q is a delzh (zh sound), lowercase m is a tripplemm (ng sound), lowercase w is wubbleyu, or double c (cch sound), lowercase j is a yaj, (uw sound), and lastly, lowercase n is an ennitin (hk sound).}

Following the theme 'Decorative', I explored the aesthetics of 1970's wallpaper. This lead to finding lots of primary and secondary sources, which I narrowed down to two patterns. I noticed a mixture of curvilinear and geometric patterns. At this point, I realised that 'Decorative' does not necessarily mean curvy and swirly, so I decided to attempt geometic, but with a sort of curvilinear feel.
My main struggle was creating a design that wouldn't require too much pixelation. Creating swirls of a large size just wasn’t achievable, without using a humongous grid to cancel out the pixelation. If I had known that Illustrator would display my font to the quality I was looking for, I would have used a slightly smaller grid so the inside pattern stood out more.

This is still a work in progress and all comments or suggestions are welcome and appreciated. I'm a first year graphic designer and this is my first time using fontsruct. This is response to a brief of designing a font under the theme 'decorative'. I'm really interested in Art Nouveau and the psychedelic art scene of the 60's and 70's,so it was a combination of this and looking into Moroccan patterns that inspired me. The font is designed to be used on a large scale and in small quantities. This is a clone

This typeface is based around the theme of 'Decorative'. It was designed for the project given to me during my first year of studying graphic design at UWE Bristol This typeface is inspired by nature and plants. The shapes of each letter were inspired by the outlines of leaves and calligraphy strokes. Whereas the pattern of this typeface represents the texture of leaves, stems, and vines. The font is designed for decorative and ornamental purposes only, such as advertising or poster design and is not suitable for use in body text as it would be difficult to read.This is a clone of All Composites saved in MY BRICKS 3.0

This typeface has been designed around the word 'systematic'. And every letter created is from a pattern/grid that I sketched out as a guide.

Block02 is the new experimental fontface by BlueTypo inspired in patterns and dotted typography, performs well in large sizes. The principal function is decorative but if you want to use it en large text, maybe nobody can read it. ; )
Download, test and share it.

Theme: Curves
Idea: Shoe lace
... was set a task to research, develop and make a font/typeface design using one of the themes in a list given to us. My first two attempts was looking at the most obvious idea of bubble writing just to get a feel of fontstruct where it occurred to me that I practically chose one of the most hardest themes to do on fonstruct. other attempts were made in sketch books to see how much could push my thought process on one particular theme. The idea then struck me whilst on a break and looking down at my shoes after dropping an item.
Process: took one shoe lace/string and arranged into letters.
then took pictures and use them as reference points for each and every letter.
because I had trouble recreating the actual picture on fontstruct I decided to step back and approach it differently. this is when I got the idea that instead of just making the string as it is, i'll just make the font thicker and put in some pattern like detail such as weaved fabric and recreate that.
I went back to the sketchbook and looked at the letters and decided to just do it with one string shaped as the letters

This was my third attempt at creating a successful font for my UWE graphic design project. I originally picked flaccid for my theme however when it came to generating my ideas they seemed very similar to other fonts already made, this led me to take one of my experiments and use it to base my font; Links. focused on repetition and patterns i chose to keep it simple and tried to make a complex looking pattern. any comments would be appreciated.

This typeface is adopted of Songket from NTT. Songket is one of the traditional and ethnic fabric from Indonesia. Some of place in Indonesia have many kind of this fabric, but the reason I chosen this because I think NTT have a different pattern of this Songket
