Based on the decorative identity squares that FontStruct members get when they join. My design is based on the elaborate squares of Lady Quadretti. I just had to replace the decorative bricks with the plain square which showed how much Quadretta relies on the variety of bricks to be interesting and different.
This is a clone of Lady QuadrettaThis work is based on M.C. Escher's woven ribbon motifs, 1938, 1942. He's made wooden stamps for the basic motifs, and rotated and combined them to create fantastic woven fabric patterns. I've simply taken his idea a step further using combinatorics. Please note, this is a Fontstruct rendering, and as such may differ from the original.
149 custom bricks for your perusal! Only custom bricks are in the palette, so you can clone this and easily start drawing right away.
I'll definitely be adding more with time. I love this sort of experimentation!
