A faithful, authentic, all-caps, nostalgic 8-bit font based on 1st-party Nintendo Entertainment System games, such as Duck Hunt, Tetris, Dr. Mario, Clu Clu Land, Pinball, Gyromite, Baseball, Urban Champion, and of course, as the name says in the font, Super Mario Bros.!
Featuring a grand total of 1085 glyphs! If we do glyph number translation, 1085 translates to October 1985, back when the Nintendo Entertainment System first launched in North America!
Now you're typing with power!
A typeface inspired by synthwave music and the art that represents it. The late 1980's and early 1990's landscape is full of amazing creativity that would be great to build off of.
I tried to capture the unique structure the music has to its sound, which is where the block shapes come in. To compliment the music's unpredicability, I made up all the block letterforms out of a "scan-line-esque" pattern.
For years I was seeking the font used by Channel 9's Wide World of Sports (Australia) from c.1980 up until 1992. I've expanded it to a full alphabet but not happy with characters with diagonals. And the W should be proper diagonals, but I can't get that right within FontStruct's constraints. Anyway, cricket fans, here you go... super effort, that. Use @9 to make your own Channel 9 logo.
Recreated character set of the Brother EP-20/22 Electronic Thermal Typewriter (1983).

Presenting Nihon Bussan (or Nichibutsu)'s Booby kids (aka. Kid No Hore Hore Daisuken or Heiyanko Alien), released both consoles in 1987: NES, Famicom, PC-8801 and Arcade. This font is the same to "Mag Max" (1985), created by Goatmeal, "Dangar Ufo Robo" (1986) and "Terra Cresta" (1985), created by Patrick H. Lauke.
This is a clone of Terra CrestaSquare-pixel variation of the dot-matrix original.
This is a clone of Brother EP-20/22 Electronic TypewriterI had a sheet of Shinobi's font, nobody had done it yet, now it's here! All characters are what appeared on the sheet - no custom glyphs (yet). I may get around to adding a question mark. Get your black ninja gear on and download now.
Visitors is taken from 'V' - The Video Game, based on the 'V' TV series of the early 1980s. Yeah, the one with the lizard people infiltrating humanity, that's it. I put in some angle parts because I didn't want the M and W to look like deformed Hs. Might just add extra "columns" in the glyphs to keep it pixellised. This is the whole character set, plus a few extra characters to build your own pulse line. Have fun
