I created this font for my University project. It was my first time using this site and I found it quite hard at first but now quite enjoy the possibilities. I started by looking at the word "Ornate" which to me, means adorned or decorated. When I looked at decorative adorned work, I noticed the use of vines and flowers. I then took photos of vines on buildings which inspired my font. I started with a basic letter form and by using composite bricks I added pattern in the bricks and edges much like some older buildings.
