This my recreation of my own handwriting fontstructed with a vertical line/stripe pattern (I know it's bad calligraphy, but don't tell Claude Dieterich I did it, please).
I used a fountain pen 1.1mm stroke to get my samples written down in order to have a basis.
My UC leans slightly to the left and my lc to the right; must be the graffiti influence from way back in the day.
No wonder I only type nowadays...
13.09.09 alternative s added. located instead of the long s → Unicode:017f (Alt + 0383)

This font's beveled angles create the illusion of shading and depth.

Hunstrüct is my first attempt at designing a contemporary blackletter typeface within Fontstruct. The typeface draws inspiration from the long tradition of German Fraktur styled blackletters. The name Hunstrück is taken from a mountain range in Germany called the Hunsrück. Primarily I was aiming to build a face that would work well as a display type for gig posters and larger headlines but as I reworked the typeface I tried to strike a balance between text and display.
Big thanks goes to djnippa for his hard work in spacing this font properly.

This one started out quite different; a simple three-line font. While making an alternate B, the curlicue was introduced. A clone and many hours later, Etched was born. Later added borders and decorations when the sample called for it. Then cloned the clone and stripped it bare...because DJNippa was going to ask for it, wasn't he!. :-) ----- Works best at 64pt. Set leading to between 48pt and 56pt. No kerning required.
Top borders: [ \ ] Bottom borders: { | } Top border decoration: ~ Bottom border decoration: / Left border: ( Right border: ) Text decoration: _ Text decoration end (ambidextrous): `This is a clone of fs Etched

well another escher inspired set. however with this one i was also influenced by the soma cube - which is very escheresk itself. actually i don't know if i'm more happy about this set which is much more simple and clean than my previous efforts or that i finally googled upon the soma cube which i had as a kid and wasted many hours playing with...much like now with fs :)
thanks to frodo7 with Homage a Escher and shasta with Escheresk for providing great examples of clarity and inventiveness of design in this genre.

The letters can easily be made more legible. But it gets to be FUN & a-MAZE-d. Every letter/word has a solution. 4 types of spaces: space bar, @, #, %. Try it.

I intended to make some sort of an M.C.Escher tribute here. I'm sorry this isn't very complete and far from being perfectly well done, but it somewhat started to make me feel dizzy...;) And even though I'm not very convinced by this, I don't think I'd come up with a way better execution soon.
I hope for Mr Escher that there are better tribute fonts for him out there! He'd definitely deserve it...
It was by the way funk_king's Impossible Alphabet that reminded me of this unfinished thing laying around in my messy unpublished fontstructions box, and made me take it out and finish it. (If you can call 42 characters "finished".)
Also check out Frodo7's Hommage à Escher, geneus1's IsoMatrix 3D, and funk_king's Soma for some other great Escher-esque fontcrafting!

Well, apparently everybody here likes building letters... And I'm sure everybody got told at least once to finally shut down that damn computer while fontstructing.
Here's how you can go on tinkering fonts even with the computer unplugged!;)
I had carried this idea around with me a long time ago, doing some sketches, but abandoning it cause I thought all the thin and dotted lines would go beyond fontstruct's possibilities. Until funk_king proved me wrong... Thanks for the re-inspiration!
I think this is pretty self-explaining. Cut along the solid lines, fold along the dotted lines and put some glue on the shaded parts, put it all together, and there you go with your new toys!
Unfortunately it was impossible to fill all the inner sides of all the counters, but I tried to leave them open where you'd see it least. There might also be some bugs, I haven't tried them out yet. Pure brainwork so far... (My brain's still in the freezer to cool down a bit) In case someone ever actually uses them and finds something wrong, please let me know!
Hope you like it!:)
Check out the fill font if you wanna print your own custom-made design on the letters!

A simple Dot's Font with geometric shapes.
Alternates:
• Ampersand "&" in the Tilde letter "~";
• Commercial At "@" in the grave accent "`".
It looks quite simple, and in the end, it was, though getting to the end was anything but. This font appears as a clone of ookii because that's where I started it, thinking I'll just add the shadows. Getting the shadows to look natural and line up properly in every character was a geometric challenge. I ended up redrawing the whole thing three times over--in incremental step up of scale before getting it right. I love doing fonts like this one. This is a clone

the DOT experience continues...
It gives you an unexpected kind of FREEDOM creating lines with dots.
This time i doubled the resolution by using 2x2 circles.
Finally your eye can help making curves of any size look complete and entirely smooth!
Oh my god...
I see more possibilities now than ever before!! That technique of "dotting", as i call it, will make my brain bust, i guess.
:P
May the force be with me!
