Recreation of the pixel font from MD Software/Activision's "Knightmare" (1987) on the Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum.
This is yet another use of the same font I first stumbled on in the "Dizzy" games, with slightly different punctuation marks/special characters. This time at least, there's a connection to "Last Ninja 2" (which also uses this font), as they're both by the same programmer, Mev Dinc.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Despite being a Japan-only release, the game only has a partial/incomplete set of hiragana, and only a handful of katakana characters.

My own attempt at a small, chunky, proportional font. Inspired by elements of similar small 4x4 fonts - though breaking out of a strict 4x4 restriction where absolutely necessary, and with the addition of some non-chunky punctuation and special characters.
Recreation of the secondary pixel font from Dooyong's "The Last Day" (1990).
The letters are used exclusively for the highscore name entry (while the highscore list itself then uses the main font). While some characters are the same, the majority show slight differences to the primary font. The number characters appear to be unused in the game itself.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the main pixel font from Psikyo's "Gunbird" (1994), an evolution of the font used in "Samurai Aces" (aka "Sengoku Ace", 1993). Note the difference in the numbers, as well as the letters "I", "J", "i", "j", "l", "y". Letter spacing has been slightly tweaked for better balance and consistency.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

The same font was reused (with a few minor changes to punctuation/special characters) in the sequels "Knight Tyme" (1986) and "Stormbringer" (1987)

Recreation of the pixel font from Horror Soft/Adventure Soft's "Elvira: Mistress of the Dark" (1990). This font was also used in "Elvira II: The Jaws of Cerberus" (1991) and "Waxworks" (1992).
Slightly expanded to complete the set of accented characters, beyond the ones used in the French and German versions of the game. Apart from this, only the characters used in the game have been included.
Recreation of the pixel font from GameTek's "Brutal: Paws of Fury" (1994) on the SNES.
Note the "yin yang" symbol (U+262F) and the partial set of accented characters.
