I attempted to mimic the shapes of the metal work on the cranes. It is industrially decorative theme, inspired by mechanical objects and cranes discovered across the urban landscape of Bristol. It was developed over a series of hand rendered live drawing sessions and experiments. As the research and planning developed, the resulting type became sketches to a more refined and simple final outcome.
