This pixel font recreation is a combination of the font used in Centuri's "Phoenix" (1980, developed by Amstar) its follow-up "Pleiads" (1981, by Tehkan aka Tecmo) and SNK's "Safari Rally" (1979, NOT distributed by Centuri, raising some questions about the true origin of this font). Only the characters present in the tile sets of the games have been included.

Hey Patrick, I think this font might have orignated from a 1977 Gremlin game called Depth Charge.

ah, quite possible, though i seem to remember that Depth Charge only had a limited/incomplete set of characters.
